Did you switch to new Disney Visa 40% off code, or, keep what you had?

Well, surprisingly, I didn't see a lot of talk going on about this so I thought I'd ask if many of you have switched deals, or finally booked using this newest Disney Visa 40%deal? :)

I happened to see this new Disney visa deal late last night mentioned in a thread here on the codes and rates board. I still don't have any email with the new Disney Visa code but I didn't need that as I had the OIZ code mentioned by another Poster(thanks Poster!). The deal is for most nights, 1/1/10 - 2/11/10. The sample night prices for 1/3/10 -1/6/10, 1/10 - 1/14, 1/18/10 - 2/11/10 made me think the rate would only be good for some nights of my trip, but the 40% off was valid for each night of my trip Jan 2 - 10, it just included the first night that was listed as a holiday night, and the last three of my trip which are part of marathon weekend, so the sample dates just show the lowest rates available during the discount period.

I called tonight to see if I could apply the new code to my ressies I had already made using the 4/3 deal and I did it no problem. My previous ressie was for 2 adults(myself and DD19), for eight nights at CBR Jan 2 - 10. To use the deal I had to book Jan 2nd as a single night, at holiday rate of $246 without a ticket(have 2 hoppers that we were compensated with from a previous trip we could use that day), and then start Jan 3rd, when the deal started, and buy 4 nights, with hoppers for 7 days. So for the room and tickets for both the ressies, was $1530.

So, I asked about the Disney Visa deal for room only, but when I asked about adding dining, she said I'd need a package with tickets so she said she could apply a different code for a package with tickets that was also 40% off package deal so that worked for me! I had switched to POFQ from CBR when I first switched my ressie to the 4/3 a couple weeks ago. So, my deal now is 40% off at POFQ for 8 nights beginning Jan 2nd - Jan 10, with 8 day hoppers. I like having it all in one ressie, not two, and I'll probably still add dining. The room portion was forty percent off each of the 8 nights, using holiday rate the first night, and marathon weekend rates the last three nights to calculate, so that came to $872, plus $615 for two 8 day hoppers totaling $1490. That's a savings of about $40, not a lot, but still great! Plus, if I do add on the dining plan, it's still cheaper than having dining on my previous ressie and paying OOP for dining the first day. So, saving a little bit of money, combined with having it all in one ressie makes this a great deal for me! :cool1:

So, anyone else switch and get a better deal, or did you decide to stick with the deal you already had? :)

I just have the worst luck! I called last night and got a delightful CM who really seems to know what he's doing, but when I gave him OIZ, that brought up a package with Deluxe Dining (he couldn't find a room-only), but the dates were those April to June dates!! I have the email and it says OIZ is for 1/1-2/11/2010. :confused3 (the dates I was having him look at are early February.)

So now what do I do?!!!

Call back. I booked OIZ yesterday with no problem at all.

Yes, do call back. I switched from the AAA rate for POR 1/7-1/13 and my rate went from $831 down to $623.

I used the code yesterday. We are only staying 5 nights so the 4/3 was OK but not great. Our trip cost dropped by about $350. We are staying at the Beach Club with 2 adults/2 kids.

Used visa code for pkg. was originally staying at a value and with code upgraded to moderate for basically same price!:goodvibes

We booked Wilderness Lodge for 5 nights in January in a magic your way pkg, with dining and parkhopper tickets.

We have the Disney VISA, and have booked our trip through Small World Vacations.

Is it possible for me to rework my reservation to take advantage of this deal? How do I go about it?

Thanks,
Jen:confused:
