did you play a CD at your OUTSIDE CEREMONY?

I'm trying to figure out if the sound system at Japan will be good enough to play a movie theme on for our wedding march :)

I used a cd for our first dance at Sunset Pointe. It worked out just fine. But there were only a few of us that had to hear it. Also I had to provide my own cd player, as there's no sound system at Sunset. I would say your best bet would be to ask your planner.

Good Luck.

For the Epcot wedding you would have to have an audio tech. I talked about this with my EM for our wedding. The audio tech with all the stuff he needs is about the same price as a string trio. I opted then for the string quartet. These musicians can play anything especially anything Disney. You are definately going to need mics, etc b/c of the distance b/t you and your guests.

You are definitely going to have to discuss this with your EM. I have hosted a few outdoor events at Disney and when lighting / audio was needed, there were costs involved. Depending upon what was needed, those costs did add up.

To give you an example of what you ~might~ be facing, here is what was stated on the proposal for my Summerhouse event at the Grand Floridian (it was an outdoor dinner party):

Technical Services
Audio Package: (BGM)

Portable Lighting System:
This portable lighting package will enhance and emphasize your
Entertainment with a splash of color. Package includes par lights,
ultimate stands and technician setup and strike.

Technicians: Set/Strike Technician

20 Amp 120 Volt Duplex
Temporary Power Installation

Temp Drop Permit Fee

Electrician

The items stated above cost me a pretty penny, but they were worth it as my event was truly lovely (the lighting and music really added to the ambience).

It sounds like you might only need an Audio Package for your Japan ceremony, but will that package require both an Audio Technician to operate the equipment and an Electrician to wire the area for sound? What sort of power will be required for the audio equipment? Will a Temporary Drop Permit Fee be charged for that power? As you can imagine, simple things can sometimes become quite complicated.

Only your EM can answer the audio question for you. I am hopeful that things won't be too pricey (but brace yourself just in case). Please keep us posted.

If it gets to expensive I'll just stick with a violinist. But it would be pretty great to walk up the aisle to movie music! :)

Okay, I'll bite... What is the movie music that you want played? I'm itchin' to know the answer. Come on, share! ;)

my boyfriend is a HUGE star wars fan and I want to totally surprise him that day.

I want him and his brother to walk up the aisle to the "Throne Room" music from Star Wars (episode IV). And I want to walk up the aisle to "Across The Stars (the love theme from Star Wars Episode II) which is achingly beautiful.

So I need a sound system that can do justice to John Williams and his symphony orchestra!!!

And then head BACK down the aisle to Indiana Jones Raiders Of The Lost Ark theme -- after all, marriage is an adventure!

OK YOU CAN STOP LAUGHING NOW :)

Not laughing - this sounds SOOOO cute!! :thumbsup2

Pintradingwedding, I'm not laughing. I seem to remember another couple doing something like that with "Star Wars" music a few years. (I believe their ceremony was held inside the Wedding Pavilion, though.)

I also remember another couple who were movie buffs. They had the inside of their wedding rings engraved with their favorite expression from their favorite movie. I thought it was a sweet sentiment that made their marriage just that more personal.

Lots of things touch people in all sorts of ways. You're not as ~odd~ as you might think you are. ;)

we had live musicians & a cd player at our yacht club gazebo wedding march 21st, the sound system worked great for my processional.

Twojo21, what kind of sound system did they use for you? Do you think they might use something like that for the Japan Pavilion inside Epcot?

i can try looking at my sheets at home, they had all kinds of equipment speakers, a mixer, etc.
