We had severe weather on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday! On both Thursday and Sunday nights we went to the basement for tornado warnings. Thankfully our only damage was some large limbs down out of our trees but others in the area weren't so lucky.

Yesterday evening before the severe storms moved in I was outside taking photos with my digital camera. I would love to be one of those tornado chasers. I hate the devastation that severe weather causes but at the same time I find the powers of nature fasinating. I am glued to the Weather Channel during severe weather and would love to have my own doppler radar!

No severe weather here this weekend, but lots of rain! I'd love to be a storm chaser too!

Lots of rain and lots of severe weather all around us and including us this weekend. We ended up timing things right (getting groceries in between the monsoons) except for the lawn - dh was almost done yesterday, had about 5 minutes left to go and it began monsooning - sideways rain. I don't think I've seen him mow that fast in my life. He got it done!!! Was soaked but got it done! Supposedly more rain on our way today and tomorrow....

Hate to brag, but we had a spectacular weekend weather wise!!
Bright and sunny every day, with a nice breeze. Could have been a bit warmer (only about 70 most days), but great for us since we were working in the yard!!.................P

Rain Rain Go Away....although it is rather nice right now the rain is supposed to come back later today...

We did - it started blowing and raining so hard Sunday night, I was beginning to think a tornado was on its way

We have only had 2 severe storms this season, which really surprises me, but both have been within the last week...one in which a tornado was spotted the county below us.

I love storms, but the severe one's can stay away!!

We've had great but hot weather during the daytime but we had a whopper of a thunderstorm last night. No tornadoes here thankfully but lots of torrential rain, tons of thunder and lightning. I usually sleep through storms but this one woke me up and kept me awake. My thoughts go out to all that had those awful tornadic storms this weekend. I've seen firsthand the damage tornadoes do and it's devastating. My daughter and I are frightened of them but intrigued as well. She wanted to be a storm chaser when the movie Twister came out. I think I've talked her into being a meteorologist instead. Still interesting, but lots less dangerous. ::yes::

Hello, I am a Weather Channel Addict. They are always there for you, in good times and bad, on sunny days and rainy days.

I love the Weather Channel-I can name almost everyone of the reporters. Did anyone notice the new guy yesterday. I wonder if he was just there for Memorial Day.

Storm stories scare the crap out of me though.

It looks like the storms are continuing into today. stay safe to everyone in the really bad places!:D

Not here in Massachusetts but back in Indiana where I go to school and where my boyfriend lives they had tornado warnings off and on all day and I guess it was really really bad. If these storms had been a week early I would have been in all of it.

We had a tornado touch down in our subdivision 100 yards from our house. Two homes across the street were completely gone. I think the roofs of both landed in our front yard. We are still picking up debris with the neighbors. Indiana definately had a destructive Memorial Day weekend.:(

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your neighbors. Just horrible but glad at least that you're all ok physically.

Thank You! We are all very thankful that neither family was home at the time. We feel very blessed in that respect.

It's been pretty bad here last week, we are hoping that this week is better. We had 3 die here in our area last week.:(

we didn't get our first storm until last night, but so far have been blessed... no hail, just 10 miles sound of us. No tornados, those were 10 miles north. It's starting again, right now, so we'll wait and see! Already some tornado warnings out, but just right around me.

It's that time of the year again *sigh*

We were supposed to have severe weather move through yesterday, and would you believe that it broke up as it approached Raleigh? I honestly think that we have a huge umbrella over us! We need rain in a BIG way!
