Did you fly with Sunwing?

I am finding a flight to MCO in next March. I found the one way cost for SW is not so attractive. If I book RT, I need to take a risk of high price of return ticket as my return date did not release yet.

So, at this moment, I am thinking of Sunwing. Did anyone use it before? What is the comment? I just worry whether they will change their flight schedule frequently. I need your advise. Thanks.

I flew Sunwing in February. from Toronto to Orlando. I flew out during a snow storm only 20 minutes late. Coming back they changed my flight from 10:30AM to 8:30 PM and a stop over in Fort Lauderdale which was not scheduled before.

Hi Little Miss Liberty,

Thank you for sharing your experience. When did you were noticed about the change in return trip?

I am thinking to fly from Toronto to MCO in Mar. 08. It cost about CAD$800 for 4. And then, fly back to Toronto with Air Canada in cost of CAD$900 for 4. What is your comment?

Thanks again.

So $1700 return all together? Definitely wait for SW you have tonnes of time before March and there will be lots of specials/sales/DINGs before then.

The prices are usually highest when first released you have to be a little patient. SW should cost you about $600 return for a family of 4 especially since the dollar is almost at PAR.

Thank you for your encouragment! I just worry about the peak season of March.

No problem. Maybe not $150 pp but much better than $400 pp.

Maybe start a new thread asking people what rates they got for March and when they booked?

They contacted me a couple of days before my return. Thank God I gave them my cell phone number as I was on a DCL ship and got my messages when I got to one of the ports. All I can say is that it's worth the savings if you don't mind the possibility of a change. I hated arriving in Toronto past midnight it was an incovenience to my parents who kindly picked me up but I've never seen the airport so empty.

i booked 7 flights with them 2 years ago with an really good offer 6 months before our travel dates. 2 months before we were to leave they cancelled all the flights that had offered this rate. not only did they cancel them but they did not inform us or our ta. i heard about it from a friend who was wanting to book the same flights. when i called them direct to confirm this they would not tell me. kept saying they did not know anything about it. after pushing for 20 minutes, you know, "can i speak with your supervisor, can i speak with YOUR supervisor" they finally told me that the flights were cancelled. at that point i had no option but to book with another airline and it was very costly.
sent them a nasty email:mad: but never heard back from them. figured they did not want my business.:confused3

I have heard some negative things too about rescheduling or delaying flights....however that is the worst for sure.
