While you were on your WDW trip did you experience any extra pixie dust? Did something extra special happen? Did a CM wow you?! I love hearing about the awesome surprises that happen at Disney both big and small!

I have 3 that come to mind right away...

On our trip in March 2013 I was standing in line at the hat store at the end of Main Street with a pair of Mickey ears when a cast member approached me and asked if I was planning on having a name embroidered on it. When I responded that I was she started up a conversation with me asking my name, where I was from, etc. She continued talking to me until we reached the counter and she let the cm behind the counter know that she was making some magic. My name was embroidered on the ears for free! She then gave me a card to commemorate the moment with my name and date on it.

On another trip in November 2013 we were eating dinner at the Garden Grill in EPCOT and my younger sister was about 7 at the time and was really tired and not all that interested in eating. Our waiter, Cory noticed she wasn't really eating and seemed tired and offered to see if he could find her a popsicle in the back. Before he left he let her know he wasn't entirely sure he would be able to find one but he would try. He went off to look and I noticed him walking back towards our table empty handed so I told my sister to not be upset but he didn't have the popsicle, which she was fine with. He then came back to talk to my sister and apologized for not being able to find a popsicle for her. He very easily could have left it at that but instead he said to her "I couldn't find one but I thought you might like this instead" and he handed her a paper Disney cup and smiled. My sister was pretty confused but looked inside and it was an entire cup FULL of Mickey sprinkles. She was so excited and talked about them the entire trip, she emptied the cup into a sandwich bag and carried it with her to the parks for the rest of the trip and ate them while we were in lines. It's been almost 3 years and this memory is still one of my favourite Disney memories. I usually have a hard time remembering cm names but Cory's has stuck in my head because of what he did.

Also on our November 2013 we were celebrating my sweet 16. I ended up sick for the last 2 days of the trip. I stayed in the room the first night alone while the rest of my family went to dinner at Akershus. When they came back my dad took out his phone and showed me a video from the restaurant. My parents had told Ariel I was back at the room and Ariel asked my dad if he had one of those Shellphones and he said yes and she said oo oo can you make it so I can say something to her so he recorded a video of Ariel saying she wished I could be there and I hope to see you soon. She also said how much she loved my bag because I had a backpack that I was getting signed by the characters that trip that my family had taken to the restaurant to get signed for me. We've kept the video and now have it saved!

Omg! This is so wonderful to read! It sounds like 2013 was an amazing Disney year for you!!

Some of them are spur of the moment, lucky we were in the right spot things, and some are I think reactions to things we had done/said (and some were because we knew people...) but magical moments also depend on what YOU define as a magical moment, I like to think of a lot as magic, from little things to huge things, there's a lot of magic that takes place at Disney!

-Back in 2012, we were watching Move it Shake it, my Mom went to go dance with Baloo, but he got SWARMED with kids, so she turned back defeated, only to have Timon grab her and dance with her for the remainder of the dance party, not paying any attention to anyone else around, and when they went back to the floats he blew her kisses and did the "call me" sign. It wasn't much, but Timon saw the opportunity and took it, and it was amazingly magical.

-Back in the days of paper fast pass, we were gifted fp's many times from people who weren't going to use them. Even this past year, we were heading into Fant for a friends last day of her year in Fl, and we were gifted some passes from people who weren't going to use their dining package, thus making us able to get front row seats for her magical last day!

-One trip, a dancer friend and I were talking about how we both really wanted to end up working for Disney, and how we really wanted to talk to some of the dancers/parade performers, and I JOKINGLY said something about asking the character attendant for Dream Along about meeting the dancers, and TO OUR COMPLETE SURPRISE they told us to come back at the next show and they took us back to meet them, complete surprise, we were completely in AWE of it happening.

-We were eating at Tony's one night, and just really bonded with our server, she was super awesome, and originally from Buffalo, so she knew a bunch about Canada (where we're from) and because we were so awesome, we got free ice cream at the end of the night!

-Earlier this year, I went to grab food between Fant & SW fireworks, and ended up at the dockside diner, and this one, I can only think it was because when the cm called me up to the til and asked how I was doing I replied with "great, how are you doing tonight?" and actually held eye contact with her/chatted for a bit. I ordered a kids meal, and she told me to put away my money and then ran itno the back to grab it for me. I immediately pulled out one of those "thank you" cards for her, and she got super excited when I gave it to her, and when I got my meal, it had TWO cookies, and TWO sides, and a LARGE water instead of the big one. I consider that magical moment, lol.

-One MNSSHP we LUCKED out and found Tinkerbell's nook to be empty, JUST Tink & Peri, and since we were dressed up as them, we really wanted a picture with both of them at once, luckily for us, pixie dust was sprinkled and we got SUPER cute photos of all of us and we're all holding hands and being sisterly and it's just great.

-Last year my friend was dressed up like a floral maiden from Fof for mnsshp, and got like, 3 extra handfuls of candy and most of the stops we did, again, something so little that comes across more magical for us.

-Now, for something that I asked for some help with, but was STILL BEYOND MAGICAL. My Mom came down to visit me, and she LOVES Festival of the Lion king, the tumble monkeys & obvs Timon. So I asked a friend who was in the show if he was able to help out in anyway, and he went above and beyond, making sure we had vip seating for the show, and afterwards were escorted backstage for a private meet and greet with the whole cast. My Mom was in HEAVEN and I was SO happy. A few months prior, a FOLK friend had told my bff & I to "just come around that corner to say hi after the show" and we thought it would just be her, but we stopped DEAD and speechless when it was the entire cast, and were just in such shock, especially when most of them stayed out to chat for a bit afterwards.

There's so many more moments, from getting a free water bottle on a hot summer day, to a special surprise of popcorn during Illuminations, to riding the carousel with the Tremaines, to ending a meal at BOG when the restaurant is so empty you get to waltz around the ballroom, to doing Enchanted tales and having Belle tell you to stay afterwards to make sure we get a picture, to getting to be the Can Can dancer at Hoop Dee Doo (though this happens 3x a day, it's STILL SUPER EXCITING), to my mom's 80 y/o friend having her bday button seen, and a cm at the front of the park pixie dusting her on the first day, a day I went to GR to pick up my MVMCP tix and politely chatted with the CM, and got a "no strings attached" card for a free ice cream, to the CM at Trail's End choosing to come over to the group of adults to play hardcore disney trivia with while they wait for hoop dee doo (and get sticker prizes) and naturally, getting to sit at the chicken table at Hoop!

There's so much magic all around at Disney, I find that there's a lot of smaller things I appreciate too, but I appreciate them just as much as I appreciate the larger scale things.
