Did you enjoy staying at, say CBR after staying BWV orYC?

just wondering what your thoughts were on the CBR. Still deciding to split between CBR now and maybe AKL or YC. Sorry if I posted already, going 'goofy', hey, that's Disney! LOL!

We didn't care to go backwards. We stated at BWI in 1999. Then in 2000 we stated at the BWI, cruised and then stayed at CBR. What a difference. Room size, atmosphere. We like BWI so much we bought at BWV.

I am a DVC member with BWV as my home resort and I have also stayed in every WDW deluxe resort except the GF. We often will switch resorts on Fri & Sat nights to save the much inflated DVC points and move from BWV to another WDW resort. We switch to other deluxe, moderate and value resorts for these 2 nights and we always enjoy our stays no matter which resort we switch to!! It always amazes me when I read posts that say: "once you stay in a deluxe resort you will never be happy at a moderate" or "once you stay in a 1 BR DVC villa you will never be happy in a DVC studio, or any other WDW resort". We have not found either of these things true for us. I book our WDW vacations taking many factors in mind: our DVC points and the maximum useage, AP discounts on non DVC resorts, time of the year and the room rates that are offered, number of people in our party, etc. We enjoy every type of WDW resort from the DVC resorts to the deluxe resorts down to the value resorts. I am happy and thankful just to be able to be in a WDW resort and in the greatest vacation place there is, IMHO. True, different resorts offer more or less amenities, different theming, etc., but I have yet to stay in a WDW resort that I did not enjoy and I have stayed in every WDW resort but GF and DI. All WDW resorts are nice, they are at different levels but still nice resorts. And let's face it, if you book a moderate resort and find you hate it (though I personally could not see why), then you have a reason to return to WDW and stay in a deluxe resort. BTW, if you REALLY want to be spoiled---stay in a DVC resort in a Grand Villa!!! You will feel like you are the queen of England!

I have stayed at CBR both before AND after staying at the Grand Floridian. I love both resorts for different reasons. :) The Yacht Club is near the top of my list of resorts to try in the future :)

CBR is a beautiful resort in and of itself. However, it doesn't have certain amenities that only the deluxe resorts have such as 24/hour room service, monorail or boat service to the parks (only bus service, which was excellent during both of my stays), there is no concierge at the moderate resorts, and while there is a sit-down restaurant and food court, the deluxe resorts all have more dining options onsite. I think that as long as you know what to expect at CBR, or any moderate, you won't be disappointed. The rooms have all been recently refurbished and CBR has the largest of all the moderate resorts. Check out my web site to see recent pictures of CBR, the link is below :)

I stayed at the CBR multiple times over the holidays (that was my first CBR stay). I loved it! You can see my resort-hopping itinerary here:

And you can see my on-line photo albums here: Janet2k's on-line photo albums

By the way, my holiday stay also included multiple AKL stays. Love that resort!
