Did you drink coffee when you were pregnant?

I gave up caffeine completely. Switched to unsweetened decaf ice tea and decaf coffee. NO ALCOHOL, not a drop which was kind of sad when everyone was enjoying a glass of wine or champange during the holidays.

To quote my favorite David Letterman, "Decaffinated coffee, it's what they are drinking in Hell".

I personally believe small amts of caffeine is fine. I was an OB/GYN nurse for 21 years, and somehow the women who smoked, drank etc etc had perfectly normal babies, and it "seemed" the moms who never did anything wrong had the babies with problems. I am sure this was a misperception, but that is how it seemed. Your doc said a small amt is fine...trust him.

I am 32 weeks pregnant and have not had a single drop of coffee during the pregnancy. But it is only fair to say that I have never been a caffeine addict but I did enjoy the ocassional Cafe' Mocha from Starbucks on my way to work. I made my husband promise that after the birth, he is to bring me an extra large Cafe' Mocha and a box of Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies to the hospital!
