Did you do FREE DINING In AUGUST Last Year???

I am interested in hearing from people who did free dining in August last year. We are going 8/24-8/29. i know that the restaurants will be crowded - but how aboutthe parks & resorts? How did you think the crowds were in the parks? How about the lines? So far we have gone in November for Jersey Week and in late April/Early May. Both trips we experinced some moderate days and some "not so crowded" days. I am wondering what to expect during FD

I'd like to know too! We've done late April, early May and late July, but never free dining. All the times were very manageable with a good plan and EMH AM, hoping the same for 8/28-9/1!

We were there last year for free dining the last week of August and will be going again this year for the same time. We were prepared for lots of crowds, but were pleasantly surprised. Some days we were going on rides multiple times with little to no waits. Other days there were some lengthy lines mid afternoon. We were by no means upset with the crowds. It was our first time to the World but we had been to Disneyland several times during off peak seasons, so that is what we had to compare to.

Just do some planning, get to the parks early, and have fun!
