Did they fix the bench seats at the BCV?

When we were there in March 2003 ( room 551) there was a problem with the cushions on the bench seat sticking up and not laying flat unless someone was sitting on them to hold them down.

It was a problem for my DS age 2 because he was almost too light to hold it. Underneath the cushion was an open space filled with plaster dust and debris.

Anyone heard about this?

We were there a month ago and didn't notice any cushion problems!

We were there spring break. No cushion problems, but you could remove the cushion and look underneath if you wished. Wasn't a problem for little ones to sit on.

We were there last Oct and I noticed this for a second. For the bench seat to move, like you are describing, I think something has to have been broken. Even with "something" breaking, it will still be functional most of the time. The only reason I noticed was that one of my kids, 3 or 2 y/o, stepped funny and the seat moved a litttle. Upon closer inspection, I thought there was a piece that I saw that had broken allowing the seat to move. Now I wish I had called down to get it fixed. We are going back this Oct and I'm going to check it out again. Maybe I'm making this all up and that is just the way they are made.

I really think that this was never a resort-wide problem. Perhaps it was your room. I stayed there last June in a one-bedroom (122) and there was no hint of this. I would hate to see this become another "bad thing" about BCV's. If you get to your room and this is a problem, please notify someone to fix it. As owners, it benefits all of us to get the maintenance that the villas require.
Thanks

We did ask the bellman when he brought our bags up. He said that it was designed that way and that he had seen others like it !?!
If it hasn't been brought up in a while, I am sure it is fine.
