Did they cut some trees down at MK?

Did they chop the trees down no either side of the Partners statue? Or am I just looking at a bad angle?

we were told trees were cut down so more ppl could see Wishes
also curbs taken out around the hub too

They were removed well over a year ago to give guests a better view of Wishes. They have also rebuilt that entire area. The wall around the planters were removed and replaced with a simple railing, and the entire thing was lowered so there is no longer a curb.

I wonder why this makes me so upset. Without the trees it looks less... mythical/enchanted/fairyland and more themepark-ish. I guess I'll have to decide once I see it in person.

How about the flag pole? Is that moved too or are you on the side of it so it's out of the picture?
