Did they change the corn dogs?

Was there on Saturday and grabbed a corn dog from stage door. It tasted like a stale hot dog on a stick. The batter seemed different and it seemed like it was reheated.

I really hope I’m wrong. Anyone else notice the change?

I saw a video recently on YouTube where someone has eaten a corn dog from all three places (wagon, stage door, corn dog castle) and said the stage door one tasted different than the others. I don’t think I remember them saying it tasted bad, just not the same. I had one from the red wagon last month and it seemed the same as I’ve had before.

Good to know! What a strange decision.

Never get them from Stage Door. The Red Wagon or Corn Dog Castle only!

We've always gotten then at Stage Door and love them.
They didn't taste any different in Dec.

Prevailing theory from the corn dog purists is that since Stage Door uses their friers for a bunch of different fried items other than just corn dogs and that oil can have a slightly different taste than the other locations that pretty much only fry the corn dogs...and that taste can vary based on how fresh the oil is or is not.

It might be that Disneyland restaurants use different brands of corn dogs and when you buy one it might taste different to you. I LOVE corn dogs and the kind I buy are State Fair Corn Dogs and they are good but avoid Foster Farms Corn Dogs because they somehow changed the flavor of them and they tasted crunchy. It might be smart to contact Disneyland or call them and ask what kind of corn dogs they use for the Stage Door restaurant because if you felt that your corn dog didn't taste good the smart thing to do was try to get your money back or order something else
