My first night back on the PC after a week of pain. That dreaded worm struck our Windows XP and sent the PC to the shop for a retooling. Response time is still extremely slow--but at least we can get on the darn thing!
What is it about technology that we grow to love it in proportion to how it can falter??
My company's entire email was down 2 days....interested in any of my fellow dis lovers who are trying to hang in there as well waiting for the next virus to strike !!

WDW in 2004 :)

Not our pc, but I work in a network ops center and there are major networks affected by sobig, nachi.32, or msblast. There operations are all but crippled because their IT dept was lax as far as updating pc's.

These outbreaks are a big reminder why we need to check weekly for critical updates on microsoft's website, and keep the virus scans updated.

Nope. Soon as I heard about it I made sure I got any security updates from Microsoft and that my Anti-virus program was up to date. It did hit us at work though.

Nope, I have ME. At work we have XP, but they shut down the port that the worm targeted so we didn't get hit.

My best friend's home pc got hit though.
