I've called 4 times in the last hour to inquire about room availability. Every person I talk to is grumpy and a total buzzkill. I can't even get to the point of asking questions because they've just been nasty from word one.

I've never had this problem. Maybe one or two here and there, but not 4 in a row! If it happens again I'm going to get a complex!

They're probably sick of people calling asking about codes attached to their names and/or when is free dining coming.....or a combination of both!

That's what I was going to say.

Also, can't they tell that you've called that day? I thought I read on here somewhere that they can. So maybe they can see that you've called 4 times in one hour.

It's WDW nobody should be grumpy other then Grumpy himself. Where's the customer service? This makes me sad.:sad2:

That is what I would like to think also, fuji. But then I remember, they are just people too. I often wonder if I could do that job. Every job I've ever had was some kind of customer service job. Even when I was a Visa coordinator at a bank, I still had to talk to customers over the phone.

It's not fun being cussed out over the phone when YOU didn't make a mistake but the customer did. But they blame you anyway. Whew! Glad I don't have to hear that anymore.

Ofcourse, I hope no one would do that to a CM! But I have a feeling......... ......not that the OP was doing that! I'm not saying that at all.

Definitely not my style. I could just tell the way they answered the phone that it wasn't their day, so I moved on before they bummed me out too!

Yea, I know what you mean. For the most part, I get great CM's on the phone. Like the other day, I was talking to one of them. He could NOT have been nicer, friendlier..........he was telling me about his kids, I talked about mine.......it was great!

It's just that one in a bunch that can be a real downer. Just leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth.

You must have talked to the CM I had this morning. She wasn't very pleasant and actually raised her voice some when I was calling to apply the free ticket upgrade to my room and I didn't have the three letter code. I never did catch her name, but I hope I don't get her again.:scared:

They are probably ready to kill me I had to change my ressies 3 times today and now my sister wants to come along so yet another change possibly. I had 2 great cms and one so/so today but even the quiet one was good. Luckily I have not had a rude person yet.

We had a problem with our reservation and encountered two real grouches in upper-level management...but one really nice one helped make up for that.

On the flip side, everyone at Disney dining has been really nice :)

You know that is really funny, because dining is where I always get the grumps! Monday was actually our 180 day mark so like any good DISer I was up and on the phone at 6:59 am. I waited 2 minutes on hold and a CM picked up. I started giving him my ADRS for our 9 day trip. Well when I made my ressie for the Coral Reef I accidentally called it The Living Seas Pavilion instead of The Seas with Nemo & Friends, well let me just tell you... I think my ears are still bleeding! Just to let you know don't in the excitement of the moment forget the name of the restaurant you want to eat at and just name the country it's in if you have this CM, because he is going to tell you it's not his job to know the names of the restaurants! Can you imagine! On a whole though most of the CM are very nice. I once got a CM on the Cakes line that seemed more excited about my parents Anniversary trip then they were! She was the best!!!!

If I was a CM, I would think it was part of my job to know the country that each restaurant is in :confused3 .

PURELY my OWN logic on this but let's think about the 407 WDISNEY number...

1. They ask if this if this is your first trip or not
2. They ask if this is a new reservation or not
3. Then they ask if you've been since 2003

My guess would be that if you say this is your FIRST ever trip...you're more likely to get reps that are very knowledgeable...I'm ASSUMING that they think you would know most of what you're asking if you go often...

I see that you go often so try pushing buttons that say you've never been and see if you get the good CM's! :)

Dh phoned yesterday to make our ADR's at the 180 day mark from check in. He was told be the CM that he would have to phone back in two days because it was too early to make reservations. He told her that it was 180 days from check in and most of our ADR's were already made. She asked him for a ressie # since I guess she thought he was full of it. He gave her one and she said that was wrong, so paniced he said you mean I don't have that ressie and she said no you do have that reservation but nobody should have made it for you and you'll have to call back in two days. She was really rather rude. He hung up and phoned back and got a very nice CM that made our ressie's for us.
