Did Resort Room Occupancy Limits Change?

I was trying to price out a Disney vacation for my family online. We are a family of 7--one of the kids is a baby. I wanted to try and book AOA and it said I exceeded the occupancy limit. I thought you could have 6 in that room with a 7th if they are under 3. Is that still true? Do I have to call in and speak to a person to be able to get that room?

Thanks!

were you trying to book just a room? Rooms won't sleep six and a child under three, but the family suites should.

You may want to call instead of trying online

think the room is now 2 and younger.

put in 2 for the age and see if it lets you

It was one of the suites. I put in the 4 older kids ages and for the last one put infant.

Hi! I am having a similar problem. We are a family of 6 (youngest is 2). The new web site will not let me book a room to accomodate 5 people (says we exceed occupancy). I have tried with numerous resorts. I sent an email to Disney about this and received a response today stating that it was a "challenge" with the new web site and that I should call to book instead. The email reply did confirm that our party size can fit into a room for 5. Hope that helps. I am waiting for the discounts that may be coming out next week before I call to book.

The current website you may as well realize is completely non-functional. It has flashes of functionality but seriously? Don't use it to book , don't use it to make payments. THE MONEY could end up in some Disney black hole and that would become a nightmare.

For the time being, only book with a phone call. My upcoming trip which was a last minute decision mid-December, I called to book, made payment on the phone and for online check-in, I was directed to www.MyDisneyReservation.com -- and that worked for online check in.
