Did Joaquin hit CC? anyone know if there was any damage?

How did you handle the motion? My first cruise is Oct 31 and I am considering the patch, as I am worried about possible seasickness sneaking up on me.... however, that's powerful medication so I would truly prefer not to use anything if I could get away with having no adverse reactions to cruising! Just wondered how you found the movement especially since you where in rougher waters

The first day I could tell the boat was rocking, but it didn't bother me at all. I debated about taking something IE: The patch or pill form but I really wanted to see how I would be. Again after the first day I was fine. Even when I got off onto each port my wife asked me couple times ' do you have sea legs' which I didn't. I never experienced "sea legs". The real test was Thursday which despite boat rocking, I was fine.

I was on the Fantasy when we skipped Castaway Cay to skirt hurricane Joaquin. I was very surprised how well she handled 45-55 mph winds and 3-5 m seas. There was a considerable amount of motion Thursday evening and plenty of people were sick but it was not horrible. DW took Bonine but still had to skip dinner in the MDR. DS and I took no meds and had no problem with the motion. Dinner in Animator's Palate was interesting. Walking around I felt like a drunken' sailor. Also, I slept like a baby that night.

That was pretty funny in Animators Palate, seeing people get up and leave, or put their heads on the table or better yet seeing the servers. I too slept really well that night as well.

The only time I felt "sea legs" was standing at the counter at the Racetrac station on Merritt Island buying water on the drive home. It was strange feeling the gas station rocking. By the time we got home 4 hours later I was fine.

The servers weaving through the tables carrying heavily loaded trays was amazing to see.

We were bummed to miss CC. Had our cabana on Serenity Bay and everything...
