There was a woman with 3 boys, all in lime green shirts with DIS on the back. I was going to say hello, but the group sprinted to the ski lift before I got a chance. So, who did I miss meeting?? :D

I remeber a post like this before and the person was never found. Hope for better luck this time!!! :cheer2:

It looks like I may never know....

Maybe keep bumping the post back to the first page, could be that they didn't leave the world until yesterday or today, and maybe even got stuck because of snow back home?????

Hope you find them!!!

I'd also try the Community Board-- so many more people post there.

Also, if you're up for some good reading you could read trip reports to see if anyone mentions BB that specific day. Just a thought.

Hi - that was probably us! We were the stupid people (along with I can't believe how many others!!) freezing to death there in the 64 degree weather! Yes, I do have 3 boys (9, 11, 12) and yes we were in our lime green DIS shirts briefly (never got to wear them outright without the polartecs over them because it was too cold!) And yes, we did run to the ski lift first! Probably it was between 2 and 2:30pm!

Thanks for everyone who bumped this up! Today is my first relaxing day back (one son is off for semester break) so we're just home vegging. The snow hit here Saturday. We actually got back late Thursday night, but spent Friday at work/school, Saturday unpacking, and yesterday relaxing! I hope to spend some time today updating all my responses here - answering some of the questions I had before I left, etc!

Glad to meet you guys & hear someone noticed our shirts! I want to post as soon as I get a chance about WWTBAM. Seen any threads about that Tuesday (Jan 18)? We went to the first Millionaire show and a DIS'er got all the way to the million dollar question, then missed it. She had on one of the pins (we stopped wearing ours because with constantly pulling off/on sweatshirts, polartecs, jackets, they kept falling off) and waved to me as she went off stage because I had my DIS fanny pack on & pointed to it. Trying to find out who she was too!

Thanks for "meeting" us!

How fun to "meet" someone, even if we really didn't!! I was sitting trying to stay warm when I saw your boys shirts, as they must have ripped off the polar fleece on the way to their chairs. I pointed your group out to my family and said I was going to introduce myself. Before I knew it you were chasing the kids to the ski lift. Hopefully you stayed in with the kids longer than I did. Two times in was 2 times too many for me! When your lifeguards are in stocking hats and polar fleece suits, you know it really is too cold to be swimming!!

Thanks - I sent you a PM too. I was kind of annoyed because my kids said they REALLY wanted to go to BB and they wouldn't complain that it was cold and they'd pay for it (which they did), but $138 on a day like that seems a bit steep for 2 hours! But realistically we probably accomplished more that you could on a whole day in the summer time (& didn't have to worry about suntan lotion or anything!)

We hit the chairlift to go up - fun because we're big time skiers. We're going up and thinking "this would be more exciting if I hadn't just done it last weekend and wasn't going skiing next weekend!" And usually I'm warmer when I'm skiing than I was then in my bathing suit! Then we hit Toboggan Racers, Down Hill Double Dipper, Snow Stormers, Runoff Rapids, the lazy river, the wave pool, and the ski patrol camp area (my kids love the ride where you hold onto that bar and swing into the water!)

Then we dried off, got some funnel cakes, warmed up, and did it all again! All this in about 30 minutes each time (yes we ran up the stairs every time too). Obviously no lines any times so just up and down. And I brought a disposable waterproof camera and used the entire camera up. Tried to take pics when the sun came out so we have several pictures that "look" like it was a nice warm sunny day!

We've done waterparks around here (Soak City by Cedar Point in Ohio) many times when it's been in the 50's - occasionally when we were the only ones in the park at some point so my kids are used to it. But we have season passes there so I don't feel as much that we had to get our money's worth like we did at BB. But they had fun! I hadn't realized there was a height restriction on that ride (sorry I don't know the name) in the Ski Patrol camp area (the one where you hang on and slide). It was 60" and my oldest is about 64 and middle is about 60. They obviously didn't enforce it that day so they got to ride it several times. But by the time we go back in a few years if we do and the boys are bigger and taller and if it's more crowded, they probably wouldn't be able to ride it so I'm glad we went!

I was bummed it was so cool the whole visit that we never wore short sleeves alone, let alone all those cool zipoff pants I bought for them (which they ended up wearing long johns underneath and never unzipped!). Never got to show off my DIS shirt. Maybe at Cedar Point if we wear it next summer I'll find some lost DIS'ers!

Glad to hear from you!

Yes, you did get to show off your DIS shirt....I spotted you!! :sunny: Only if it was because I saw your boys' shirts, and the lime green of yours hanging out underneath your winter jacket!! :earboy2:

I'm so glad to read that the lime green shirts are being noticed! On our last trip I wore either the DIS shirt, or my lime green ribbons and pin every day. I noticed two others and three noticed me, including a CM DIS member! However, when we were eating lunch in MK, I saw a woman in a DIS shirt thru the window....by the time I could get outside, she was gone. DIS shirts and pins, and the lime green ribbons, DO get seen, even if they aren't personally acknowleged.
