Did I plan enough time at each park?

I have planned 1 day for AK, 1 day for MGM, 2 days for Epcot, and 2 days for MK. This equals 6 days, we have 7 day passes (we do have park hoppers).

It is me, DS10, & DD 7. I was thinking of either using my last day of passes for "favorites" to park hop or to go off site and see some other sites. (We are already going to SeaWorld for one day and the space center another.) What do you think?

Thanks for your opinions!!

I thought the kids (and I) may enjoy the Gatorland???? :goodvibes

Sounds good to me! Our first trip was in March and we did 2 days at MK, 1 day Epcot, and 1 day AK. We are glad we did AK but will skip it next year. How many days will you be in Orlando? You said you were going to Sea World and The space Center? Make sure you pad in some days for just hanging at the pool with no plan. Our next trip to Orlando will be 10 days, 6 days at WDW (3 at MK, 2 at Epcot and 1 at MGM and we will for sure get hoppers this time!). We are also planning on SeaWorld but the other 3 days will be for the pool. Just enjoy, I wish we were going back soon. You will have a wonderful time!! :)

Days per park should be good.. you may want to check out the waterparks as well? Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are a lot of fun. You could also check out Disney Quest if you can spend some time @ downtown disney!! Never been to Gatorland...sorry! You'll have a great trip I'm sure!

that sounds really good to me as well, our last trip we realized ak can use up an entire day, we planned to leave at 2 but we were not ready to go, we never gave mgm an entire day but we never did everything there either, this trip we too give mgm and ak 1 day each, mk 2 days, we never do epcot, not our thing, but low and behold my mommy seems to have an interest in it so we may go for one day, still unsure

I'm not really into Epcot either, but this year we went just for Fast Track and Soarin', not to be missed if you end up going. I never would have gone back to AK, only went this time for Expedition Everest. MGM and MK are my favorites!

That's about the same as we do, then the extra day or two we revisit as we want to. We usually split into half days wth a break in between, but my kids still take naps. My kids love all 4 parks, DS5 says Epcot is favorite and MK is 2nd.....

We usually spend 1 day in each theme park, a day at a water park and some down time in between to sleep in, relax, enjoy the pool and maybe go to the boardwalk at night or to downtown disney. We enjoy the parks more when we return the next day refreshed and ready to go again. On our first trip to Disney, we purchased 7 day park hopper plus tickets, we ended up getting 2 trips out of the tickets because we were to exhausted to run through the parks every day and the plus part we used up in 3 trips going to the water park on each trip. If you don't have non expiration tickets and you don't use all your days you can pay at the parks or the hotel to keep them from expiring to use on a future trip. Linda

Sounds good to me. If I was to spit things up with one park a day I would do it that way. Your kids might enjoy some of the thrill rides at MGM (I don't think there is too much for the preschool crowd there so we normally do half a day.) Also the new Expedation Everest your kids might really like.

Keep in mind that AK closes early (around 5 often) so it isn't a full day. If you can park hop that is good, or if it has EMH. AK day is also a good one to do DTD that night.

Have a great trip. :goodvibes

Thank you all!! I think what I have decided is to allow my kids to choose what to do on our "open" day. We are there for 10 nights/11 days, but due to flight schedule (you know how that is) we don't get in until 5 the first day and take off at 1 the last day, so really 9 full days.

Our "free" day is just past the middle of the trip, so the kids will have pretty much done it all. I figure they can plan that day for us, whether it be stay at the pool, back to Sea World, a water park, what ever... their choice! I am sure that will excite them!!!

I never gave much thought to the water parks, since we have several near our home. I probably will not get another chance to take them to Disney :( so I just want to make sure we do as much as we can that we can't do near home!

Thanks again to all of you for your advice!! :grouphug:

sounds good to me! we did that this past trip the park hopping. we hit the rides that we didn't get to do the first time around in the parks. it worked out really great. if you're going to do that, i suggest you go to Epcot first thing in the morning. you'll get on Soarin and Test Track fast. i believe we did Epcot, MGM, and MK that day. it was a lot of fun! we only did a few rides to begin with at AK so we didn't need to hit any that day.

oh i love Sea World have fun! we didn't get to go on this last trip and i was really disappointed, i love sea animals!
