Did I mess up walking?

Today is April 6. I currently have booked Mar 4-7.

I tried to move my walk so that it is Mar 6-8, or Mar 6-9. Neither works because Mar 7 is unavailable. I thought this wasn’t possible because I have the room March 6-7. Am I wrong? Are there refurbs at AKL in Mar?

It is because you dont have it the night of the 7th on the current reservation, so now the night of the 7th isnt avaiable so you cannot book it.

But today is the 6th. So I thought I could walk it to the night of the 7th today. Is that not correct?
 
It should have been eligible for the walk…but it may mean that at least one room is out of service and thus, why it can’t move forward.

Thanks. And another odd thing… the dates after the 7th look available. So only out of service for one night? Does it look that way to you in the screenshot?

It could also be the famous Disney IT glitch? I’d keep trying to move it today.
 
I tried to book 5 days in HHI today, beginning March 6, 2024, and it says no rooms available!! :worried: I need HA 1 bedroom. Perhaps rehab??

I see you’re trying to walk one of the 10 AKV Jambo value studios. AKV is due for a refurb, but that wouldn’t explain a studio being pulled for only 1 night since a refurb takes much longer. I can’t think of a reason for a room to disappear for only 1 night 11 months from now, so I’m going w/ something weird happening w/ inventory. You can try calling - but the CM likely will only see the same thing that you can see. You can keep checking to see if the problem resolves itself. AKV has had inventory/booking snafus through the years. I remember once when lots of availability suddenly opened up - I was concerned that it was a glitch like the VGC overbooking debacle, but it seems that all of the inventory hadn’t been loaded when it should have been.
Unfortunately walking is not a ‘benefit,’ it’s a work around members use to try & get hard to reserve villas - like the values at AKV, but if a glitch happens that blocks your walk, there’s no recourse & you’re out of luck.
 
Sorry, misunderstood originally. Could it be possible that it is tied up in a 2 bedroom, since they are lockoffs at Jambo?

Yes, it's an AKL value. AND you guys were right! It was a glitch and it worked now. All morning nothing changed, but just now (almost 3pm) I was able to walk it and get the next set of days. I'm going to make sure to walk it every day from now on, so if there is a glitch one day, I'm not stuck, but I get it... nothing is guaranteed with walking. I still have a bit more to walk, so I will update if I have any more issues, but for right now, I was able to walk it, so it must have been a glitch this morning!
 
Glitch... DVC sites are perfect and always work. Obviously operator error.

Kidding of course. Glad to hear it was worked out, and luck with the rest of the walk.

These "glitches" happen fairly frequently. I'm guessing to most room types but we don't know it because most categories are much larger so it's only evident in the smaller ones like the Value and Concierge studios.
