Did I make the right decision ref reservations at FW cabins?

We will be travelling to WDW for 2 nights in Jan. Our travel party is myself, DH, DD8 and my parents. I made reservations at FW cabins. The only park we will be going to is MK. My concern is the transportation. I do not want to drive to MK. I want to be able to use WDW transport. My parents are very mobile but I don't want them to have to walk too far. Would we be better off at another resort or is it easy to get to MK from the cabins? I tried to make ressies at POFQ 1st for 2 rooms but could not get the discount code. We have stayed at WL and used the boat to MK but have never stayed in the cabins. Any help is appreciated.

There's an internal bus that will take you from your trailer area to an area that's not too far from the boat dock. It's not a bad walk, it's just that you have that extra bus trip. Some people rent golf carts to cut out the bus use.

We stayed at the FW cabins in January. Getting to MK was absolutely no problem. You take one bus to the boat launch and then take the boat to MK. The problem we found with the cabins was not enough room and only one bathroom. I would have much rather had 2 rooms instead, but we did have a fun time. Hope you enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the input. I have thought about the fact that there is only one bathroom. The boat to MK is a big plus.
