Have ADR for my DGDs and myself for Whispering Canyon. The girls are 11 and one of them is sooo picky about food and the other is very shy. Did I make a mistake?

It depends on what they're picky about. The food is excellent and the entertainment is so much fun. I guess it really depends on your situation - I think you might have to evaluate for yourself. Are you familiar with the antics there? Would that bother your DD even though she's shy? You could always request at the podium for a "quiet" waiter/waitress. Good luck!

I thought Whispering Canyons was great. I did not know what I was getting into when I went there this past November. The food was excellent and the wait staff was fantastic.

I have to say, I am shy about some things, but this place made me crack up. The trip was solo for me. So I decide to make my phone call during my dinner at WC to tell my cousin the "goings on" there. While on the phone, my waitress made the announcement, "Ssh, be quiet. She's on the phone. Who are you talking too?" So I answered, "My cousin Amy." And she made everyone, within ears reach, say hello to "Cousin Amy." Amy and I both laughed. She is going with me this October and wants to eat there. I'll have to make sure she asks for the ketchup.

I would go back there again, but with more people. If she's shy, I don't think it would be a problem, but, if she gets embarrassed easily, she might feel a bit uncomfortable. I think you should try it and if she feels uncofortable, ask for a different section just like Mermaid_Ariel suggested.
