Did I just get really lucky?

I just called MS about an hour ago to add on 2 nights to our Nov. trip. We will be at BCV for 5 nights and I wanted to add the weekend of Nov 14-16 at AKV. I was able to get a studio savannah view for that weekend! The CM on the phone told me to "cross my fingers" when I asked for AKV. She was shocked it came through. So did I just get lucky?

If the CM seemed surprised....I'd consider yourself lucky! They deal with AKV requests day in and day out, so they know how (not very) often people actually get the accomodations they want.

I also just added a Savannah view studio for 11/29. it was right at the 7 month window. I wait-listed for Concierge, but Savannah will be a nice fall back if that doesn't come thru....

You and I both! I made a reservation a couple weeks ago for next week and managed to get AKV. In addition, I called the other day to make our reservation for F&W and while nothing was available for BC or BW, we managed to get Savannah view at AKV for both nights! Now the question is, do we want to waitlist for an Epcot resort since we will be at F&W, or stick with what we got

We had the same type ofthing happen. We're going on our honeymoon from10/12-10/19. I figured Dfiance would want VWL, but he chose AKV. Since it is so new I didn't think we had a chance! Turns out they had the middle five nights at AKV in a Savannah View Studio! We waitlisted for the first and last night and the last night just came through! I was shocked!! We'll stay anywhere normally but we had wanted this trip to be a little different so we were excited! Plus he is excited to be doing somethign with me that I have never done (I've stayed at lots of resorts before I met him and the Poly and AK are the two places I have never stayed!)
