Did I get a good price?

Family's first trip to DW. Staying @ Poly - concierge. Bought AP's but didn't get the rate d/t "sold out" . Do have the CVT discount @ 373.53/night (tax added). I think it's about 340.00/night with out......very excited........is this a good rate? Seems very expensive. Is it well worth it for a first trip? we do want to swim every day around noonish. so thought monarail would be nice. Keep seeing other hotels for 59 - 140's.......sooo many questions.

I personally would not pay that much, but you did get a pretty good rate for concierge. I just prefer to spend more money on sovenirs, tours, and other fun things, but that is just me. The Poly is great, and you will love it. We have stayed there several times, but we are staying in July for 10 nights at the WL for $139 AP rate so couldn't pass it up. The convenience of the monorail is nice, and the resort amenities are great so if I were going to spend that much per night, I would definitely stay there. No matter where you stay, it is Disney and you will have a great time!

You need to ask yourself how much time you will spend at the resort vs. how much time you will spend in the parks. First timers think they have an idea of how big WDW is, but generally most of them are overwhelmed with it on the first trip and underestimate how much time is needed to really experience the parks.

On our first several trips, we slept at the resort and maybe swam for 2 hours over the whole week. On subsequent trips, we have more down time because we've seen it all.

The entire area looks huge. Ive heard - same size as san fran. Can't even imagine. I know from past trips to disneyland that my kids love to swim. I will try to fit this in. Again that 130's rate is looking good. Just can't wait. thanks for the replys
