Did I do the right thing?

Yeah!!! I just booked an AKV Value Studio for December 18-21.

But I'm wondering if I did the right thing. I was planning on getting the Deluxe Dining Plan for only 2 nights, but to do that I would have had to book just one night, then call back tomorrow morning to book the other 2 nights. I can't call back tomorrow morning since I will be teaching a class at the time MS opens. So I just booked all 3 nights. I was told that when I add the DDP if I want to get it for just 2 nights, I will have to cancel the reservation and rebook, which I know I can't do without losing the reservation.

I guess I'll just have to get it for 3 nights! Did I do the right thing???

You definately did the right thing...had you waited you may have lost the availability for the nights you needed. Also, the dining plan is well worth the money and will save you alot!

Thanks for the reassurance. I can't believe I didn't think about this before! Now, I am glad I went ahead and booked all 3 nights. We had only 29 points in our 2011 UY, and to be able to stay 3 nights, an AKV value studio was the only thing we could get without having to borrow. I know they are hard to come by too. I also agree the DDP is worth it. I just didn't really want to pay for all 3 nights. I really just needed 2 nights since we eat breakfast in the room. For the DxDDP, that's an extra $150 for my DH and me! I could just go with the basic DDP for the 3 nights, but we really wanted to try some signature restaurants. I guess we'll just splurge and get the Deluxe for the entire trip. Hope I have enough Reward Dollars saved up!!!
