Did I do it wrong?

I finished all of my dining ressies this am! I'm set. IDK if your taking bottled water with you or not but Food Lion has theirs on sale this for 2.99 and there is a 1.00 coupon off(if your interested, let me know I can pm you the link). So it will only be 1.99 for 24 bottles. I figure I would put it with the rest of my disney stuff.

If you dont mind sharing, what do your reservations look like?

How are you getting the water to FL? I think we are going to try to bring insulated water bottles and just keep refilling them.

OP. Your Ressies are awesome :)
Your reservation looks fine to me. Just a question:

You have kids going with you, correct (you booked the bunk beds)? Because the water parks are pretty amazing. For our two DD's (12 and 10), they're every bit as important as the four main parks. Every time we go to Typhoon Lagoon, we say "next time, we're spending another day here!"

Personally, I think the no-park-hopper is a good call. I've never really been able to figure out why people would want to spend so much of their time transferring between parks. But some love it!
For us, it's two reasons... Our last trip was a short stay and it was so we could work our way through all of disney, and of course if your using dining plan - it might work to your advantage (particularly DxDP users). We're trying to spend more time in a single park/day - but we will have some bouncing. Plus, it breaks it up. Especially if we have to go back to the room for DSs nap and head back out. We may decide to go back to a prior park. It's all good though. Everyone does disney different, but that's what makes it great - there's something for everyone :)

What did you think of CBR? Are your kids excited about AKL?

To be honest...we were never at the resort. We went with another family and we had park hoppers...even though my kids are little...they are OK with constantly being on the move. We would leave the resort at 9AMish and get back around 10ish at night.

I did like the main pool...well, the zero depth pool for the little kids...DD and DS played in it all day on our last day (our flight was at 6pm so we did not have to get on DME until 3pm).

Also, our room was in the Jamaica section which was right across the bridge from Old Port Royale...easy to get to the pool and the food market. It was closer then some of the preferred rooms (which you pay extra for).

Mousekeeping was OK...my son had eaten a chocolate muffin one day in the room...and although I stress the importance of keeping things neat and clean, he did get crumbs all over at the table and under the chair where he ate. Well...they never got cleaned up.

Overall, it was OK. Bus service was good and it appeared to be centrally located so it did not take long to get to places.

I think DH and myself are looking forward to AKL more than the kids. My mom keeps calling it Jurassic Park...LOL. We were also looking at the Beach Club as well as we like the pool there...but it was more expensive.

The hardest part for me will be the transportation service...and trying to determine how long it will get from the resort to a park to dinner reservations, etc.

What I am looking forward to are the Zebratinis...mmmmmm...what a great drink.

LOL Jurassic Park! DH is VERY excited about AKL. Sd doesnt know yet, but I think she will love AKL too. She really likes animals.

I looked at BC & YC, but it was way out of our price range. I love the idea of the sand bottom pool though. In the Unofficial Guide to WDW, AKL has the second ranked pool, just after BC/YC.

I have heard/read that the transportation from AKL is pretty good since you dont share the busses with any other resorts. I am wondering if coming back around noon to the resort, then heading back out to the parks around 4 or so will be a huge pain. I dont think DH and SD will be able to handle the heat of mid day and I thought it would be good to come back to swim and/or nap.

Zebratinins!!! that sounds like lots of fun!
