Did Genie/ Lightning Lane work?

i feel like there is a lot of reluctance to say the LL "works". my thought is that the price point is where people are most upset and can't move that to the sidelines to judge the actual product
I agree, I think the product itself is fine, about the same as FP+ (single LL aside), but I think the price point may be high for average families of 4 or 5 people. For solo travelers, or couples, it is OK, I think. I travel solo every now and then, and it is much more boring standing in line
if I don't know anyone...unless I'm are lucky enough to be next to a friendly, somewhat chatty, person.

Yeah I think pricing people out is kind of the point. If everyone has access the lines would look like they did when it was fast pass plus, and those stand by lines were horrendous

Just got back from 10 of the hottest days I've ever experienced. I'd say the LL/Gen is Plus is helping with the Stand-By lines. We barely had more than a 65 minute wait for all the major attractions. That being said, I did pony up a couple days and buy the Multipass LL to get us on as much as we could, and one single LL for Guardians.

What's not helping? Line jumping. I swear it was the worst I've ever witnessed in my 50 years going. And CMs don't do anything about it. And I'm not talking about one person jumping, it was like groups of 5 or more. It was infuriating.

that has driven me crazy for years, I can understand if your group is a minute or two behind you. I cannot understand the people who get in 30 minutes after i understand that it really isn't a "super inconvenience" but there is just something that doesn't sit right with me. I don't blame cast members either, i'm sure they're directed not to upset the apple cart especially in this heat

I use LL like you do, pony up the dough a day or two of vacation, the remainder we just go with the flow and enjoy it. I think personally that is what Disney is after, a day or two per family over the course of their stay benefits everyone in terms of overall wait times. I waited in line at Christmas one year for Mission space when it first opened and we waited 5 hours in a line that called out 180 minutes (still ridiculous btw) and I feel like those days are behind us now. You can actually get a good amount accomplished in the parks because of what Dis has implemented IMO
