We were visiting family in Orange Park when it hit. Other than some rain and a strong breeze I don't see what the fuss was about.

The storm made landfall up in the Florida panhandle so didn't have a big impact on the Orlando area, although it did cause a lot of flooding, power outages and 2 fatalities as it moved north. The "fuss" is because hurricanes can be very dangerous so it's better to prepare for the worst and hope of the best, then to not be prepared at all.

We had no damage in our section of Winter Garden. We were out of town during the heavy wind/rain, but arrived later (8pm) on Friday and saw no damage while driving to our home.

I was in AK waiting for Jungle Book when I got a tornado warning on my phone. I headed for the bus since I assumed the show would be cancelled anyway. Glad I did. It rained buckets just as I got to the bus and I got a text that I could choose another fast pass as the show was unavailable. On the way to Beach Club I got a second warning.
I did change my flight and come home a day later thanks to Southwest accommodation policy. I probably didn't really need to but I don't like turbulence.
