DVC is the most user friendly timeshare available, in my opinion. You are not restricted to size of accomodations, you can go from a studio to a 3 bedroom grand villa, or not restricted on when you can travel. All I remember with other timeshares is that you buy a week, red, white or blue.
But if you do not plan on going to WDW at least every other year the Hilton or even the Marriot program would be better. DVC works best with DVC stays....

When we spoke to Hilton and said that we were trying to decide between them and Disney, Hilton came up with additional points at a lower price. Has DVC every offered anyone anything extra to get them to sign?

MarylandFamily said:Should this make it easier to use my DVC points to travel elsewhere? Hilton told me that Orlando is their number one requested spot (because of Disney) and that if I owned in Orlando, I could exchange anywhere else without a problem (because want to go to Disney). Would the same be true if I owned at DVC, since others would like to get in?
My guide tells me that I can travel throughout the world using the World Passport, but I've seen very few people talk about it. With our kids, I know we'll be vacationing at Disney again. This summer will be our 3rd trip in the last 5 years. But every now and again, it would be nice to go somewhere else.
