Did CM give me correct information?

I called CRO to make a ressie for ASMo for December 17-26. She quoted me 61.00 per night with a AAA discount. I was thinking I may want to do the MYW package with dining though. She said that a AAA discount can not be applied to a package, only to a room only reservation.
Is this true? I vaguely remember hearing otherwise.
Also, I am wondering if I book the MYW package, and then a code comes out down the road, could that code be applied? CM seemed to think not. What do you think?

If you're wanting to add on the dining plan to a AAA-discounted room portion of a package, you can only do so by booking through a AAA travel agency.

Well worth it - it is saving us $268.

As for applying a code (if they release them) to a AAA package, you can ask your agent to try to do it.

You CAN get the AAA rate on the room portion of your package, but only if you book the package through a AAA travel agent. I am not aware of any other discounts that can be applied to a package that includes dining.

I got an email from Disney advertising and called to see if it could be used as a package as well as a room-only. The guy I spoke to said no codes whatsoever can be used towards a package. I thought he was wrong and called back. The lady I spoke to, Allison Jean, said that is not corrct. She said it was once that way, but not always so. She was able to enter my discount code for a package and provide me a price. I still kept $79 a night for a mod. I choose not to do the package, but it was an option.

Some codes can and some can'y. It just depends on the code.
