Did Bed Bath cut back on how many coupons they send out?

I used to always have a ton of Bed Bath coupons. I would get them in them in the mail, the newspaper everywhere! I always had so many that I would throw them out when they expired. My last batch expired 1/4 and since I always have so many I threw them out too. Well now I haven't seen any. I was wondering has anyone else been getting them? Since Linens and Things is gone I was wondering if they felt they don't need to send as many out. Just curious, thanks!

Now that you mention it, it's been a while since I've seen them in the mail.

Yea, now that you mention it, I haven't gotten one in a while. I wonder if there is any way to find out for sure. I doubt the employees at the store would know.

I looked online quick but I really didn't see anything about the coupons. It figures too because I have about 4 bridal showers that I know of this year and I imagine they will all register there. I know at least 2 did.

Then the stuff they don't carry in the store they make you pay for shipping which totally annoys me. Sorry just venting : ) Now no more coupons, that just stinks!

The Bed, Bath & Beyond stores in my area accept expired coupons, so don't throw old ones out. If you have some expired ones on hand, call your local store to see if they will take them.

Here too- they are probably just waiting for us to redeem the expired ones.... :lmao: Save a tree....

OMG!!! NEVER through out your BB&B coupons!!! They never expire.
I don't go often but when I go, it is a big trip and I make sure I am armed
with many, many, many coupons when I go since they take one for each item, even expired, including the $5 off.

It seems like I used to have tons of these, but now that I have been watching for a few I have gotten none! I wonder if they did stop sending them?

Yes, they certainly have. I used to get like one a week and found it annoying, but now that I need them, poof, only about once a month..if that. And very very seldom do they do online ones, which really annoys me since I need to ship a gift for a wedding. Grrrr.

That being said, it is no longer a given that BB&B's will accept expired coupons. They mostly did when LNT was around, but I know the three that are near me stopped accepting the expired coupons not too long after LNT closed. So, for certain YMMV, and I would call the store you want to visit before you head there with an expired coupon.

BTW: if you sign up online at BB&B to get emails from them, immediately after registering they will email you a one-time-only, one-item-only 20% off coupon. I already had signed up previously with one of my emails, so I just used another. I know, cheater cheater pumpkin eater ;)

There is still one in the Entertainment book too so you might be able to collect some of those if people aren't going to use them.

I work PT at BB&B. Of course they haven't told us if they are sending out less coupons.....a few thoughts for you though.

1. Save your coupons. My store did stop taking expireds for awhile but now we do again. I would just hang onto them and complain loudly (especially if others do take them in the region). Sometimes their policies will change.
2. Always use your most recent coupon first. That is what triggers the next one to come out.
3. Make sure your coupon has your name on it and doesn't say Our Neighbor. Sign up for the mailing list if it says Our Neighbor.
4. The Savings Certificates (online coupons) DO EXPIRE. That is the only thing that does.
5. There are some test markets for a new coupon right now. It is 20% until a certain date and then 10% after that. Maybe that is the issue in some regions :confused3

Hope this helps!

I learned not to throw out my BB&B coupons from a salesperson who worked there. My cousin also gives me his coupons. I use them all the time, and never have a problem. I have used them at different stores, and in different states. I save quite a bit, especially with the $5 ones.

Another note about this store I absolutely love. At some of the larger ones, for me the closest expanded store is Cherry Hill, NJ. It has the best selection of travel size items I've seen. There is a whole section dedicated to it. You can find just about any travel item you want there. I know it was off the subject, but I thought it might help someone.:surfweb:

We got a few of the test coupons. We haven't used them. They were 10% by the time we went to BB&B. So I just used some old 20% coupons.

It's not just BB&B. I always get Kohl's and Macy's coupons pretty regularly but I haven't gotten either since before Christmas. I think I'm getting less coupons for local restaurants, too. Maybe stores are cutting back? Maybe too many people are using coupons now so stores are losing $$.

Then the stuff they don't carry in the store they make you pay for shipping which totally annoys me.

The last time I needed something shipped...I refused to pay shipping:goodvibes I hemmed and hawed over the gift...and then stood up and said my 2nd choice for a gift was from the couple's Crate and Barrel registry. (I actually had that on-line print out!).

The associate waived the shipping!

My store told me if they don't carry it in the store they can order it for me and still use my coupon. I think they will ship it to the store free too.

They also told me the only coupons they will take that are expired are the ones from the mail, not the internet or magazines. So it would make sense for them to mail out less.

They know now no one will shop without a coupon there, sure they made a few extra sales but they are going to shoot themselves if they stop all together. So it may be less, but they will still come.

I still get them regularly in the mail. I always get a HUGE amount of them in the mail bewteen early October and end of the year - probably for the holiday shopping rush. And then the volume always slows down.
