The worst part is that it will probably be replaced by a place that sells generic Disney baubles or a chain restaurant.

Kungaloosh. :(

This is a quote from a June 24, 2015 thread on the "Adventurers Club demolition". But nothing has been written since then.

Was Planogirl right?

Depends on how you look at it. If you are literally looking at what took its place on the map, if I'm reading it correctly it looks like the restaurant there is Paradiso 37, which is not a chain restaurant.

But in a more general sense, one might critique Disney Springs as having a number of chains (such as Earl of Sandwich, Sperry, Uniqlo, Lego, and Blaze Pizza) that you could find in the outside world. So there's some truth there in the bigger picture of what DS has become, depending on what you think of the complex in general.

Thankfully, it's not a bunch of stores that sell the same Disney t-shirts, mugs, and plush that are ubiquitous throughout the parks. But Adventurer's Club was quite unique, so anything that was replacing it was bound to be more generic.
