Did anyone watch Family Plots last night?

Yep - and we can relate. DH is a Funeral Director and his family owns 2 funeral homes. His parents live upstairs in one of them

We found it to be very realistic. People really don't realize the lengths a good, reputable funeral home will go to (with restorative art) to try and make a loved one presentable. It is oftentimes a thankless profession.

I watched it and found it very interesting.

It definitely is a difficult and often thankless job. The daughter that does the embalming really works hard (and was so caring with the family of the woman who died in the car crash).

We have a funeral director in our family too. You're right, the work is thankless and the hours are crazy. But imagine where we would be without them? A good, caring funeral director is often the person who can most comfort a grieving person.
