Did anyone try to buy Garth Brooks tickets today?

I did but I was unsuccessful. I'm wondering what the best way was to try?

I thought he wasn't going to tour.

Where is he planning to perform?

(And clearly I didn't try to buy tickets as I had no idea there were tickets to be bought.)

Garth signed with Steve Wynn to perform at The Wynn in Las Vegas.

The comment I laughed at from the press conference, was when Garth said he told Steve he didn't have enough money to get him out of retirement. He then said - "I was wrong..."

LOL- Garth is coming out of retirement to do a series of 16 shows a year at the Wynn Las Vegas. Shows for the first three months went on sale today. I tried for two hours straight but couldn't get through. I finally got through about noon (4 hours after they went on sale) and all of the shows were sold out.

They are sold out! sold out first 20 minutes over 3000 tickets. If you read the rules of purchase you will see that precautions were put into place to allow fans a chance to get a ticket. Such as only 6 tickets could be purchased , Will call only so the person buying has to be there to p/u tickets w/ card used to purchase. Also the buyer has to be there to go in with you. Entire party must be with the buyer. Also states that you cannot sell over face value of 143.00 total or penalties will be invoked.

However I checked Ebay and there are tickets listed at 5000-8000 for a pair of tickets! If you read the details the seller stipulates you have to meet them @ Wynn and either go in with them or p/u tickets from them many say they know how to get around the will call rule...so they are getting away with it anyway!!!
Garth Brooks hates this and has always tried to find a way for his fans to get tickets.
I have been to a few of his concerts in the past and bought through box office.
I couldn't get these unfortunatley

Well that makes me feel a little better.

I saw Garth back in the mid-90s and DH who was my BF at the time still teases me how horrible I was for not inviting him (My parents had bought the tickets and we were in our...beginnings of the relationship.)

So now I can live another day since he's only playing Vegas.
