Did anyone see CSI or Without a Trace last night?

They were supposed to be season finales but I didn't see any big cliff-hangers. I have to admit I was let down on both of them. It felt like just another episode to me, especially CSI. The previews said something to the effect that we'll "be talking about it all summer." Talking about what??

I saw CSI. I guess we're supposed to wonder how the surgery goes and if Catherines friend/father will be arrested for murder.

That would be my guess as well....not a huge cliffhanger like some shows.

I thought CSI was really good last night, but you're right, it didn't seem like a season finale. Certainly not after watching West Wing on Wednesday

I missed Without a Trace.

Without a Trace was part 2 of the finale. Samantha got shot last week and this week her boss traded places with her to get her medical attention. There was something between them in the past but I think he may be going back to his wife. I was hoping to see Samantha with one of the cuties more her own age.

I'm having a hard time figuring out relationships on CSI. Every once and awhile they bring up Grissom and Sarah possibly getting together then drop it. Sometimes I think Grissom and (Marg's character) will get together but they never seem to go far with either story-line. I think next year they are going to delve into their personal lives a little more so we'll see!

I for one am glad CSI was not a big hyped up type show. The worst thing that could happen to it IMHO, is for it to become a night time soap opera or heavens forbid, the crap that ER has become. A little personal background on the charactors is ok by me, but I hope the focus stays on the crime solving and technique. That is what made it stand out from the crowd when it first began and will keep it above the rest.

You're right perdidobay. It's a fine line between getting into the character's personal lives and it becoming a soap opera. I for one don't want to see CSI turn into what ER has become either. I used to love ER and I haven't watched it for almost two seasons now. I love Without a Trace instead!

I still love ER, but I was disappointed with last nights show. It was like watching M*A*S*H* without the humor, and with Luka as a philandering Hawkeye and John Carter as a scared BJ, or something. If they were going to do a season finale, last weeks episode would have been more suitable.

As for CSI, I am glad they are finally resolving Grissom's hearing problem... it was becoming a dead end. I didn't like the advertising for it, either. It said in the previews that the CSI team was going to be loosing one of their own. To me, that didn't mean some cop that we hadn't ever seen before. The story was good, but I thought that the advertising for it was very misleading.

I am looking forward to the season finales of Law and Order SVU and CI!

The cop that died had been in 4 other episodes of CSI, but I didn't remember him.....................

I love CSI, but last night's episode had me wondering. Grissom seems really unfeeling. I've noticed that the last couple of weeks. The whole thing with Sarah liking him. He seemed really put off by it. Not that he should necessarily like her, but he seemed kind of put off by the fact that anyone would like him.

And last night (and this is a spoiler if anyone hasn't seen it yet) when Catherine went to see him at the end. She hugged him and the look on his face was blank. No comfort no nothing.

Kind of struck me odd.

Methinks he has "issues"

The one thing I wish CSI would do is have a "funny" episode once in a while, like the X Files used to do.

That would be kind of cool... as long as they didn't go overboard with it. but it would be fun to see their humorous sides every once in a while.
