Did anyone happen to see Blow Out this week?

I'll watch this if I happen to catch it. This week Jonathan was shooting a commercial for his salon/products (and giving the producer and director a hard time at that).

Anyway at one point some Senator comes in and Jonathan cuts and styles her hair. So you see her go up to the desk to pay and the girls says.... "That will be $500 for the cut and $200 for the color!!!!" :faint:

Ok, I'm sorry, but I just don't think any hair cut/color is worth $700!!!!, no matter who's cutting it!!! I understand that a good cut can make a difference in how your hair lays... but COME ON!

Also maybe it's just me, but I just don't think his hair styles are all THAT, they all kind of look the same, just long and with some layers. After he finishes blow-drying them they look nice, but how many of you can achieve the same look with the blow dryer that they can in the salons?

And how many times have you noticed his assistant doing the blow-dry! It appears, in many cases that he only does the cut. :scratchin

Yeah I saw that and it kind of blew me away too. I don't even go to a salon to get my hair done/cut so of course I would have that reaction.

They do all look the same! Every episode I keep waiting for him to do something different and nope, never happens. I can't believe all these ladies go in there and pay 700.00 for hair that looks like everyone else that came in.:rotfl:

I had a blow out, saw it for a minute and then flushed! End of story! ;)

I heard them say one week that HIS cuts run from $500 - $800!!! The other stylists are a bit cheaper. Makes me glad I paid to put my DD thru Beauty School and I get my cuts for FREE!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

His asst. does the drying. He's said so many times. He only does the cut. However, his asst. must be able to "dry" to his level of perfection.

I had my hair cut before by someone who owned his own salon. It was sort of the same situation but I paid no where near $500! He only cut my hair. Someone else shampooed it and someone else dried it.

But when I got my hair cut, the "artist" spend an hour cutting my hair. It was amazing! I have short hair and he would spend an hour cutting. He would tell the girl how to dry my hair and then he would inspect it before I left.

It was honestly the best cut I have ever had. It grew out so well and never looked bad. I stopped going for two reasons. First of all it took 2 1/2 hours just to get my hair cut, I was younger then and didn't have it colored. Second, I had to pay for the cut and tip 3 people, it got to be pretty expensive. But mostly it was the time. I have short hair and get it cut every 6 weeks and I didn't have the time, also the salon was 1/2 hour from my house compounding the time spent.

Hopefully, the woman didn't have to tip Jonathon since he charged $500. I'm still reeling over that!

ah yes, but he does "banging hair" I have never been sure what banging hair means, but I am not paying $500 to find out!
