I'm going on MLK day and I was wondering how the crowds were going to be on Saturday and Sunday.

Please let me know what you thought of the crowds.

We are here now and it really didn't feel that crowded. When we got in at 1:00 yesterday BTMRR only had a 10 minute wait.

We were there last Wed - Fri and while we could walk on most everything Wed and Thurs, Friday seemed a lot busier so I figured it would be pretty packed. We were going to go ahead and stay an extra day, but I couldn't get any rooms, everything was booked! So, it seems hard to believe there's not a ton of people there, especially with the weather.

We went Saturday to DCA. 30 minute waits in the afternoon for Screamin' and TSMM. Didn't go to DL. Saturday is blocked for Southern California/SOCAL select AP holders. Sunday/Monday is blocked for SoCal Select AP, it could be a little more crowded. We met several families from the East coast escaping the cold for the 3 day weekend. I think it depends on how many AP holders show up on Monday.

We were there today and the parking lots we're sut down and police were turning people away at 4pm, as we were leaving.

That being said, the park really didn't feel that crowded. The lines for the ticket booths were astronomically long...... Made you glad to be an AP holder!

I am here right now - staying the night at GC. DCA was not really crowded - which is normal, but the characters were out in force - Mickey, Minnie, Pluto were near the entrances. DL was pretty crowded - 75 min. wait for Nemo, 65 min. wait for IJ. With that said, I was expecting more crowds than what I saw. DL opens at 8:00 am tomorrow, so your best bet is to come as early as possible for the least wait times.

I just got home. It was really nice this morning. Hardly any lines. Not crowded at all. It kept getting more crowded as the day went on. It was super crowded as I was leaving. There was a sign I saw on the tram back to the parking area that the Theme Park Parking was full. And there were cars lined up to come in. Anaheim PD was there doing traffic control. I had to leave the parking area out the side gate and had to turn down the back street it was so bad. All morning and afternoon was nice though. Not till after 1 or 2 did it start getting bad.

I think most of the parking problem is the NAMM convention. We noticed quite a few folks with NAMM passes in GC and DTD. Tomorrow might be busy as the convention will be in full swing and those not at the convention will be in the parks.

Thanks for all your replies. I think we'll do Disneyland first and then head over to California Adventure. We are supposed to be leaving at 9am so we should be there by 10am if traffic isn't horrendous :sad2:

DH & I are headed there TODAY, Monday!!!! ::yes:: Have not been since December....I need my DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

We went for a bit this evening. It was busy. I think MLK weekend, the beautiful weather, and one of the few weekends of fireworks for a while brought people out in full force. We still had fun - it IS Disneyland after all, right? :goodvibes Fireworks were canceled due to wind. :( So... we might just have to try again tomorrow night.

Was there all day yesterday - like everyone is saying, the morning was not too bad. The later it got, the nuttier it got. I didn't get to go on most of the adult rides, the lines were insane by early afternoon.

It took me about a half hour to get the tram back to the parking lot at 10pm. I don't think I've ever been at DL when it was that crowded, I usually go on off season days.

Very disappointing too that Fantasmic & the fireworks were canceled due to wind.

It was pretty windy. They tied up the umbrellas early in the day due to high wind warning. And if you looked up, the high trees were swaying really bad. Didn't surprise me that they were canceled.
