Did anyone get an AP rate for 5/26 - 6/2?

I just got home a little while ago and saw that AP rates are out. When I finally got thru to CRO they said the only discounted room available at WL was a studio at the villas. Would have loved to have taken it but even with the discount it was too pricey for us. ($1953 if anyone is interested.) Did not check on other resorts since I think it was about time for CRO to close for the night but I'm curious to know if anyone got an AP discount for any deluxe resort during this time period. We have a good package deal booked at POR right now - the AP discount would not do us any good at a moderate by the time we factor in the extra cost of one AP. It might be worth it to get to upgrade to a deluxe, tho. TIA:)

I've never seen anything like this year's feeding frenzy for AP discounts in April / May. I have tried over and over to book deluxe rooms online and over the phone and can find no availability for more than one or two days in a row. The only thing I can figure is that they aren't releasing as many rooms as they used to - or - Disney's going to be slammed this spring! Should be festive haha!

Since the OP is looking for discounts for Memorial Day Weekend, I would assume that the resorts' capacity would be pretty high and that there would not be many discounts available for that reason alone. We avoid that weekend at all costs. We were once in WDW late May and made sure we would be gone by Memorial Day weekend. We could feel the difference. We were leaving the Thursday before and the crowds were coming in as we were leaving. You could see the difference each day as the weekend was approaching. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Call back. Maybe someone cancelled or changed resorts. I was going to switch from CBR to AKL on May 25th. My TA checked for me on Wednesday and told me that AKL had an AP discount available for standard and pool view. They may be gone by now, though.

I called on Friday 2/23 and reserved Yacht Club for May 11-13 and Boardwalk for June 2-6, both at the AP rate. I also checked on Poly & Wilderness, but I don't think they released ANY rates at those resorts, oh well. I'm still quite happy with what I got.

Try booking with the AP rate day-by-day it may only be 1 or 2 days that are not available for your entire stay.

Last friday they had bc for $250 a night for that whole week. Didn't take it as I had a much better deal at the dolphin. She had another deluxe too, but I can't remember which one. Moderates she had CSR but it was the same price as our week at the dolphin so I didn't take that either. Wait, it was the contempory that she also had, don't remember the price, but she said it had been crazy with people calling both thursday and friday.

Thanks for all the replies. I've tried everything except checking on availability day-by-day and I just don't have that much time to put into it. I think we're just going to stick with the package deal at POR. If we do, it will be almost like we're getting a free trip since my DMIL paid the deposit as an anniversary gift and our tax return will cover the balance.:thumbsup2 Yep, talked myself into it - Riverside it is.:goodvibes Thanks again.

I got AKL May 25-28 at the AP rate. I can't remember exactly what it was but it was well under $200/night.
We may cancel, but I will wait until May to do so. If I cancel- I will post it on this board that day so someone else has a shot at the room/rate.

Good Luck!:wizard:
