Did anyone ever bring an aero bed?

We used the twin Aero bed for our son when we have stayed at POFQ, we actually put it over in the area of the sinks at night and slid it under one of the double beds during the day. Worked very well for us and saved the fighting over bed space. We did check it in the box with our luggage and no problems.

We take a twin, because my boys don't rest well (and then are grumpy!) if they sleep in the same bed.

Welcome to the DIS, Kat913!

With the trundle bed and the aerobed, you'd be taking up a lot of floor space in the room. It could lead to some stubbed toes or getting stepped on if someone gets up in the middle of the night to use the rest room and fogets the placements of the beds.

You could always try it, and if you find it's too cramped with four beds in the room, you could always not use the trundle and have your DD's share a bed, and set up the aerobed for DS.

Or, you can do what my folks always did--I slept with Mom, and my brother slept with Dad.

Have fun planning your trip!

Yes, it does take up space, but I swear by them!

I have brought a blow up bed for the last few years. Mine is the type that is on metal criss cross legs ( looks like accoridian legs sp?). Anyway we plug it in...blows up. In the morning we un plug...it deflates all the way down. The criss cross legs fold in and it fits into a nice neat little bag. About the size of a med. size duffle bag and we put it under the seat next to the tv. Couldnt be easier. We got it at walmart for like $40.00. Cheaper then the cot for the length of stay and was soooo easy to put away each day.

Thanks to everyone for such great suggestions. So much planning has gone into this trip. My family thinks I'm nuts the amount of time I've spent-it is so much fun though!! It puts you in the disney frame of mind :earsgirl:

We are doing AKL. we have requested the bunks but will bring the kids inflatable sleeping bags just incase. I know my kids are young and perfectly capable of sleeping in the same bed but they just dont sleep as well. And we want everyone in tip top shape.

Thank you! I meant double!!!!!!!!!! They just feel as small as a twin when I have to share them with DD! :)

I totally understand. I will admit, I am spoiled by my pillow-top king bed...when it comes to vacationing, I am not one who sleeps well.

What do you do for bedding?
Does Disney give you extra?
We are going in may and my ds 12 and ds 14 refuse to sleep together.
Nobody likes to sleep with the 12 year old cause he kicks and talks and snores and well you get the picture.

It is totally worth any inconvenience for everyone to be comfortable at night! We have actually sqeezed two twin inflatable mattresses (ones that are a little smaller than aerobeds) into an All Star room. There was almost no floor space left, but we just deflated them each morning.

We have brought our own bedding (sheets) in the past, not for a aero bed, but for the regular beds. I hate sleeping on a bed when they use flat sheets for the bottom sheet. I'm an active sleeper and those flat sheets never, ever stay tucked it!! We usually just bring a fitted sheets - I always bring a bright, flowered one so that Mousekeeping doesn't mistake it for a hotel sheet!!

This is good to know because I have two little ones but both of them sleep all over the bed so I was thinking of bringing a cheap airbed with us to POFQ so in case one needs to move out of the double bed they wouldn't have to sleep on the floor :sunny:

We were in the All Star Sports last week..smaller rooms than a moderate, and the twin aero bed worked well. Have a great time. :rotfl2:
