Did anyone else's confirmation number change?

I booked my vacation package through Disney many months ago, and just this morning my confirmation number changed. I did not make any changes to my reservation.

I assume this has something to do with the "upgrades?" that were made while the booking system was down over the past couple days.

Everything looks ok with my reservation, except that I can no longer see my balance due and there is no longer a payment button to make an online payment.

As luck would have it, my payment due date is tomorrow! I really prefer to pay online and save myself a phone call, but that doesn't seem to be possible at the moment.

Just wondering if this has been a common issue for others today?
 
Just checked mine and it changed too. Not sure what to think about this. Already paid off mine, but all emails and the booklet they send in the mail (which arrived Friday) all have the old confirmation.

Now I wonder if my dining reservation numbers changed too!

Due to the implementation of a new package reservation system, your Walt Disney Travel Company confirmation number has changed. Your new confirmation number is: xxxxxxx

All of your other reservation details remain the same.

Visit MyDisneyExperience.com to reserve access to select attractions and more from home - and make your stay even more magical! You can reference your original confirmation number or your NEW number when linking your reservation to your MyDisneyExperience.com account.

If you already linked your reservation, you will notice in MyDisneyExperience.comthat your new confirmation number has already been updated for you.

Just minutes ago I got an email from Disney, saying that my reservation number has changed. It has both the old and new reservation numbers on it. (Its was free dining bb for 8/2017.) (Came here to dis to see if this was legit or spam.)

The email reads as follows:

[Subject line] Your New WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort Reservation Number
[Body of email starts with all my detailed info about my reservation - resort, name, dates]

Due to the implementation of a new package reservation system, your Walt Disney Travel Company confirmation number has changed.Your new confirmation number is: xxxx.

All of your other reservation details remain the same.

Visit MyDisneyExperience.com to reserve access to select attractions and more from home - and make your stay even more magical! You can reference your original confirmation number or your NEW number when linking your reservation to your MyDisneyExperience.com account.

Room-only appears to be the same as it was.
 
OP here - I just received the email a few minutes ago. That makes me feel better!

Now if only I could pay my balance online. I'll give it a little time and check back later today. I really hate calling.:tilt:
 
I received the same email. My old number is still showing up, everything looks fine but I also can't view balance.

I think that if you don't need to do any changes/make reservations soon, you should stay out of your account for a while until the changes "settle". :rotfl:
 
No email yet, but like everyone has said my package changed but my room only stayed the same.
 
I received the email also, it's still showing my old confirmation number and won't update to the new number.

I hate calling too. Maybe because I'm Deaf and I REALLY HATE calling, even though I can use the InnoCaption app.

But still...... Now if I could FaceTime with a Disney rep.... I'd really like that. :rolleyes1
 
I just checked my reservation as well and the number has changed and there is no place to make a payment. Cannot view my balance either. I have not received an email and wouldn't have known this as soon if I didn't read this thread. I also hate calling, especially when you're on hold for awhile. Hopefully it will "settle" as OP has mentioned.
 
My reservation number changed too. I like the all numeric format better, just easier for me to remember. I also despise having to call the WDTC if I don't have to, but I called to make sure everything was "ok" with our reservation and they didn't have our flight/magical express info even though we already provided that info. Fortunately our package balance was already paid off prior to the system changes so I can't comment on whether the payment option worked for me or not.
 
I didn't get an e-mail, but after seeing this thread yesterday, I went into MDE and checked and sure enough, my confirmation number had changed! I verified that everything is still correct. Thanks for the heads up!
