Did anyone else try to get a Disney Visa?

I applied for one yesterday. I figured I could not only get the deal but could also start earning disney dollars. Well, I got the "we'll let you know in 30 days" response. Did anyone else get this? I have never been turned down for credit before so I was shocked.

My dad applied and got the same response so who knows....

This is the e-mail response I received after I applied online:
"Thank you for submitting an application.

We will notify you of your approval status in 30 days by U.S. Mail. In the meantime, please refrain from submitting any additional applications. We will only be able to consider your first application."

I received the credit cards 2 weeks later. Is this the same message you received?

That's the one. I thought they had automatic approval. I feel better now. Maybe I'm not a reject after all.

Don't worry. They take what seems like forever to send out the card! Maybe it's normal time but if it's anything Disney I want it yesterday!

I (I wanted the reward dollars)& DH (he wanted a shareholder collector watch)both applied for separate card 2 months ago & were told the same spiel, were shocked. Both had our cards in less than a week.

I got the same response. It makes me wish I had applied months ago instead of putting it off.

Perhaps I should apply too....do Disney Visa holders always get "first dibs" at promos like Free Dining? Did they last year too & I was just too out of it to know? (I booked it later last year...like the end of June.) These DIS boards are such a great source of info!!

Wow! I wonder if this promo was to get more people to book a trip in Aug/Sept or to sucker us into getting a Disney Visa! Two birds with one stone. I wouldn't have even tried to get the Visa if it weren't for the promo. Will someone help me get this fish hook out of my mouth?

applied and got instantly approved but they don't give you a card number so I have killed myself booking this trip today. I am glad i did but what a trip getting it and i didn't get the resort I want i don't think there letting csr go with free dining so I am at por. oh well win some and lose some, somehow i feel i lost today.

We did the same thing, tried to book online as they tell you to after you are approved - well it didn't work. I think I have ressies - CM today told me not to "fret" it takes up to 5 days for Chase to transfer the data, but the ressie is good. I hope so, just made all my ADRs!!!

Just curious, what anyone else experienced?

All you DIS'ers clogged up their system trying to get the dining plan that is great.

Marketing at it's best you just can't beat word of mouth or word of DIS.
