Did a CM totally lie to me?

I called in and got a quote on a booking for my family and the cm told me that we had to have the park hopper option on our 5 day tickets or we would only be able to visit the Magic Kingdom. I questioned that and she confirmed that was the case so I had that factored into the quote. I'm now looking at the site and unless I'm really reading it wrong she was lying. I have trouble believing that could be an honest mistake. ??

And I look at what she quoted and it includes the regular dining plan when I specifically asked for quick service. This was my first real exchange with a cm and it has really left a sour taste in my mouth. The quote or res is on hold. Any suggestions?
 
My guess is that she was new. You can always call back and someone will change the package details for the park tickets by removing the park hopper option if you don't want it and they can change you from regular dining plan to QS. I have modified reservations several times after they were originally made. I have been frustrated a few times getting incorrect info both on the phone and at the resort. I then realized that I read so much info on these boards and research everything that I have questions about, that I know more than some CM's. There are excellent cast members out there who are very helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, you just ran into one that wasn't quite up to par. I would call back and someone will be happy to update the information for you. pixiedust:
 
The park answer sounds like an honest mistake. As you know without the park hopper option you can only do one park per day. As far as the dining plan, which hotel are you staying and are you getting free dining? If you are not staying at a value you get TS. This could be why she said you couldn't have had a QS plan.
 
Hopefully you are both right. I think I feel bad more because I went along with it when I knew it was incorrect. And it was for Sports so Quick Service would be appropriate. On the upside wow, was she friendly.

I originally called and told her about the pin we just got for Disneyland but we wanted to do WDW Jan 1 to 5. She said there were other pin offers we maybe could use, did not tell me exactly what they were but she did come up with a price that's $200 less than getting this exact package on the website.

I'll call in, ask to change it and go from there. Ty for the feedback!
 

I think the CM was just new and had no clue what they were talking about but it is still annoying. We were at WDW this summer and called the bounce back extension to book a trip for next August, the CM kept insisting that there were no free dining bounce back offer. I knew there was a free dining bounce back offer because I had read about people booking it on the DIS. I hung up and called back the next day, the CM who answered my call knew all about the offer and booked the trip for me.
