Diastat storage ideas in the parks?

One of our party has a seizure disorder. We will have diastat (prefilled acudials) on hand (we always have it close at hand). As I am traveling as a single parent, if the child in question were to have a seizure I simply cannot leave to retrieve it from a locker or first aid. Storage is 59-86 degrees. It's a fairly common rescue med for seizures, what have been other's solutions for this?

I am also trying to be cognizant of the fact that this is a controlled substance with a high potential for theft. So trying to find a fairly secure and/or discreet storage solution that allows for access quickly if/when needed.

Have you looked into the FRIO wallets? They work well to keep insulin and other medications from getting too hot. Basically, it's designed to maintain the temp of the product when placed into the FRIO -- not necessarily to cool it but maintain temp. I'm not sure of the dimensions of the AcuDial but the FRIO comes in a variety of sizes so one is likely to fit. https://coolerconcept.com/products

Enjoy your vacation!

I agree with lanejudy.

Check with the Pharmacist to see whether a Frio wallet would be appropriate for your medication.
However you end up carrying it, I would keep it on me - for example, in a purse or backpack that you carry wherever you go.

My son has diastat, but I really never thought about the temps at Disney. I live in Louisiana, but we go from air-conditioned car to air-conditioned house, etc., so I hadn't thought about that. What about a clip-on lunch bag with reusable ice?
