Hey all!
Here's a topic that probably has very little written on it! I was paging through my Disney Passporter book for the 100th time and was reading the section where it talks about traveling with babies and where diaper and feeding stations are located throughout the World. Now, talking about babies and the little little kids is WAY too easy a topic so this one is different.
I was originally going to post this under the Disabilities board but the more and more I though about it the more I realized that this applies to a broader spectrum of families. Now, so you understand my situation, I have a multiply handicapped sister (Autistic & Wheel Chair Bound) so diapers are a way of life on vacation for her and us. When we're at home she is usually pretty good with getting to and using the bathroom but we do have our moments but on vacation when we are constantly on the go and in long lines we, well my parents anyway, decided long ago that diapers would be the best solution.
Over two decades of being a Disney freak I have heard and seen numerous incidents where parents of older children have returned or asked their children to go back to diapers for the sake of long lines, making the most of time and whatever other reasons there are. I was just PMing another member that I've seen and heard of kids as old as 10 wearing some sort of protection in the parks ... not disabled ... just normal, healthy kids.
I don't have a problem with an older kid in diapers but I think my situation with my sister skews my objectivity and may give me a biased opinion so I wanted other voices and opinions on this subject!
Anyone with an older child in diapers ... or even a disabled one like my sister care to chime in? Besides, it's a diversion from the same Disney questions that are normally asked.
