Does anyone have one that they like? I went and looked at the Eddie Bauer ones at Target and the inside just looks so small? Would I be better off getting a regular backpack?

Thanks!:)

Try Kelty backpacks. We used one with our second and I still have it for our third. Its a diaper bag with great room and compartments. I've been looking at the North Face Recon bag. Its a daypack, so its larger for diaper stuff and the camera. Any type of school style pack or diaper bag(even Kelty) is ok for in out or store, but it you plan to carry it with you all day a real good day pack will be a relief on your shoulders and back. I really like the North Face Recon, but its $80. Try Sports Authority, Dicks, EMS, or a local outdoor company and try some on.The only thing I find is diaper backpacks have over a regular pack is a pad to change the child on. There is Jansport too. :surfweb:

We used a regular backpack, I think it was a Jansport. Worked fine for us and all of DS's "stuff". Bring a changing pad with though, TONS of people using diaper stations and not using pads to cover!!

When my diaper bag needed to be replaced I got the Columbia Baby Backpack called the Trekster. I LOVE this bag. It has little straps with snaps so you can attach it to the handle of a stroller or shopping cart. It has this great changing mat with pouches for diapers and wipes. The one side section can hold your keys with a special clip. I also store my phone, wallet, and mommy stuff in there. There's also a little paci pocket. The other side compartment is a thermal compartment for bottles/cups. I was able to fit two Avent bottled in it at a time. Now I fit two sippy cups in with room to spare. The main section is big with two little side net pockets and a big pocket where the changing pad fits in. I paid $40(almost twice what I'd spent before on diaper bags) for mine at Toysrus and it's worth every penny. I've had it for about 6 months now and it's not showing wear like my other diaper bags I've had. The dark colors also prevent it from showing dirt. The straps are comfortable and don't cut into your shoulders. It's soooo much nicer to carry than a regular diaper bag.

It's also not feminine or babyish so you can use it as baby turns into a toddler or preschooler and daddy won't mind wearing it.

We brought a regular backpack with us in case we needed it, but we didn't end up taking it to the parks. DH used a fanny pack, and I carried the Overland Donner bag. Held everything we needed. Actually, we put both bags in the basket under the stroller except when going on rides.

I just got a great Jansport bag at Target. It was only about $30 and has all kinds of separate compartments, an interior hook for my keys, an elasticized "secret" compartment in the back (PERFECT for a changing pad), water bottle "nets" on the sides, several small zipppered pouches in the front, etc.

It beats any diaper bag PERIOD. And, it's SO comfy and well balanced when I wear it. That's the biggest disappointment I've had with "diaper backpacks". They are NEVER comfortable to wear.

We got the Eddie Bauer one right before our trip in April. It worked out great. Assuming you are taking a break in the afternoon, you can reload. What we loved the most was the straps that you could attach to the handle of your stroller. No bending down into the basket everytime you needed something! Also, very easy to take on rides.

I use a Baggellini messenger bag! LOVE IT! I don't need anything major anymore, few diapers, wipes and sippie. This bag doesn't scream diaper bag. I used my Lands End bag forever till I downgraded or upgraded, however you see it. LOL

You can good deals at BagBuy for the bag, usually $10 off and an additional 10% for signing up.

I just got a diaper dude messenger bag. It's awesome! It's roomy and has tons of pockets, but it's not overly huge. they come in all sorts of colors and are marketed towards men who do NOT want to tote around a girly looking diaper bag. But they also have the "Diaper Diva" colors...pink camo and brown with pink zippers.(really cute!) The bag is made to take pressure off your shoulders and back which is really nice. I love it b/c i can search through it without having to stop, sling it off my back, unzip, search and reattach. The pockets keep everything organized and I can go through it while walking or in line with no trouble at all. It has a cell phone pocket on the strap and a key clip as well. It can carry a 20oz bottle of diet coke in a "bottle" pocket too!:cool1: My step kids are 8 and 5. Not babies at all, but the bag is really perfect for a family of four trekking through the parks. I'm going to use it as my school bag in the fall! it's really versatile and I am SO thankful I found it. I love it. I really do!:thumbsup2

I got mine on www.travelingtikes.com for $49.99, free shipping. this is the lowest price on the web. My bag sold for $65.99 in stores online and at the mall! check them out! Traveling tikes has GREAT customer service too...and lots of other stuff you might need when taking kiddos on a trip!

good luck!!:thumbsup2
