Diamond Lane check in at Vistanta?

Sounds like this type of check in really saves A LOT of time! Can anyone tell me how you qualify for it? We are Starwood members but booked our reservations through expedia. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone can use it. You just go to the Vistana web site to sign up. Saves lots of time.

I called the Vistana and got the Diamond Check in. They asked a FEW general questions and said that was all that they needed.

So, if this is so easy, and free, why doesn't everyone use it? Can anyone use it? We are using a week of RCI as a gift from my parent's and it seems just too easy!!! So is there a catch? Are there any other benefits with using the Diamond check-in?

I had to call since I could never find the link to the website for the Diamond Check-in. Only for the resort itself and that was pretty vague.
