I was poking around ADR online and I just realized that they offer reservations for the Diamond Horseshoe
Who's been recently and how is the food?
Is there a show going on while dining like it used to be?

The last time I went into DH was during MNSSHP and they were having a hoedown

TIA!
Jenn

No show just pretty much overflow seating for I think LTT food.

And its only open certain times of the year during the busy times.

Many moons ago, (many, many moons ago) you were able to have lunch at the Diamond Horseshoe. They served Chili in a bread bowl, and sandwishes and drinks. and there was a stage show, with a honky-tonk piano player. You felt like you were eating on the set of an old western movie. Ah, those were the days.

1) Ah, the Diamond Horseshoe !!!!
2) We loved that place.
. . . cute floor show with dancing, singing and jokes
. . . audience participation
. . . refreshments, snacks and sandwiches
. . . nicely air conditioned on a hot day
3) The labor costs became too much for WDW budget constraints.
4) They shut it down.
5) Now, it is an overflow eatery for LTT in busy seasons.
6) WHAT A PITY !!!!

NOTE: The Disneyland version, I think, it was Golden Horseshoe

As noted, Diamond Horseshoe operates as an "overflow" restaurant in busier times. When open for lunch, they serve sandwiches; at dinner it is the same family style dinner served at Liberty Tree Tavern. They don't do the show anymore.
