"dial up" Internet Service Provider?

Which one would you recommend? I'm trying to help someone get set up with internet service. Cable and DSL aren't available in their area.

Any suggestions?

If you can get it, I recommend usadatanet. I know they are just getting into Florida. It's only $9.95 a month for unlimited service. I love it....it's just as good as AT&T, which I had before.

Actually, this person lives in North Carolina. But I will check that one, Cassie, and see if they are in NC as well.

Any chance they would like high speed, satellite?

Dan, they do have DirectTV, but it looks like they have discontinued their ISP service. If there's something else I should look at, I'm all ears!

Interesting, Dan. But I'm not sure about that southern exposure requirement....the house is in the mountains.

but they do already have Direct TV, and it works just fine....maybe I can find a phone number to call, and ask.
