I have a 7:05 pm ADR at 'Ohana for the day we go to DHS. (we do not have park hoppers). Assuming they are up and running the week before T'giving, is it possible to see Osborne Lights and still make this? We will be driving ourselves and have the AAA parking pass, so should have good parking spots. But I don't want to feel rushed looking at the lights.

DHS closes at 8 pm, so I don't see any way we'd be able to go back after dinner.

Thanks!!

It's more a question of how much time you want to spend at Osborn Lights.

And if you're a few minutes late for Ohana.....it should not be a big deal.

If you plan for a very short visit to the lights, you can probably at least see them. I think they have historically been turned on around 6 pm (which makes sense because sunset is at 5:30 pm). You will probably want to be out of DHS (i.e., in your car) by about 6:20 to 6:30 pm to make it to the Poly in time (7:05 pm ADR, so check in at 6:50 pm). This would give you about twenty to thirty minutes to drive to the Poly, park, and then get to 'Ohana's.

And if you're a few minutes late for Ohana.....it should not be a big deal.

I would not recommend on being late for 'Ohana's. It is one of the most popular places (at this point in time).

In my opinion, I think you may feel rushed. As JZCubed mentioned, I think it's how long you want to spend.

There is a light type of show that runs every so often (I forget the interval). I'm not sure if you would have enough time to see that and then get to your reservation on time - especially if they don't turn the lights on until right at 6PM.

As others are stating, I think it is possible. But, there is so much to look at in the Osborne lights. So many details. If you are there when the light switch goes on, you will see the dancing show.

Thanks for the input! I was able to get another ADR for 'Ohana for the next night. (that was a miracle b/c getting in there even 180 days out is a challenge right now) I think it will work better and we won't feel so rushed.

Thanks!!!!!
