DHS Strategy During SWW--What are the chances...?

Okay, here are my questions and the scenario we're working with:

Without getting in line at 4am or something like that for fastpasses, I'm wondering what the chances are of getting our kids in to the Jedi Training Academy. If it's something we shouldn't even bother to try that's fine, the kids know it may not be an option for us, but I thought I'd ask for opinions on here before totally giving up on the idea. We also have an 8am ADR for the Sci-Fi Galactic Breakfast so that could affect the whole situation too.

Also, we didn't get a fastpass for Toys Story, I was thinking we'd get there at rope drop and then head straight there but forgot about our 8am ADR. Do you think that we should go right there after our breakfast and get in line? (We won't be able to get a fast pass until after 5pm because you have to use your other 3 up first right?) Do you think there's a chance that they'll still be giving out fastpasses at 5pm? When do they usually stop with that?

With the fastpasses, if I go in to change my fastpasses (I currently have Star Tours, Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror) and try to get something different, do I completely lose all of the ones I already have? I'm new to the Fastpass+ thing and don't totally understand it.

Any help or suggestions for a confused lady would be much appreciated! :)
Thanks!

you need to be there the latest 7am one adult go to check in for breakfast and the other one bring the kids for jta and when you get in those gates you need to move quick don't just stroll over there

Okay, I wasn't sure if they still did the sign-up thing during SWW or if you had to get a fastpass. That's awesome! I'll definately try it!

Thanks so much!

It is a sign up for JTA. We arrived at 7:50am and stood in line for 40 min. to sign up my boys. We had our choice of shows after 1:30pm. You need to one of the first in the sign up line to make it to the breakfast by 8am. Is there another day you can do JTA. Non SWW days are much less crowded. We have signed up as late as 10am on a non Star Wars day.

everyone is held at a rope inside of DHS for the Stormtrooper show. If you look at the first page of the big SWW thread you'll find all kinds of information. Basically for SWW Jedi Training you need to be on the left side of the rope and move it move it move it to the sign ups that are (as I recall) by Indiana Jones show - I know the line goes by H&V. The stormtroopers usually let the rope down around 7:50 so you have a window of time to get signed up and then over to breakfast.

I would look at getting a FP for Toy Story - you can go in and play with changing your FP+ / see what is available (chances are there won't be any TSM left) before you "commit" and change your FP/ lose your other one.
