Are there any maps to show where the new Toy Story land and Star Wars land will be at DHS?

they have not released them but there is a rumor thread that seems to have hit everything on the nail so far, I woudln't be shocked if it's accurate basically making the left side of the park all starwars (plus more land added to the side) and toy story dominating the back of the park all the way over to lights camera action right now.

Yea no word from Disney. Toy Story expansion could be in backlot tour area and building where Pirates of the Caribbean show was

I can't see Star Wars being anywhere other than streets of America area, unless they expand on the park with fresh land. I'd hate to see streets of America leave simply because it's a great spot for the Osbourne lights, but other than that, it's a huge waste of area. So I could see them taking out the street, pizza planet, and muppets and doing Star Wars there. Which would also correspond in the same area as Star Tours

Looking at an birds eye view of bing maps we know they will be using the backlot express restaurant and we also know that a new theater is being built by RnRc to replace the Premier theater, between those two is Star Tours, the Muppets,Mama Melrose and Pizza Planet. There's been a rumor that the park could expand out and use the Studios Dr entrance road for a lot of the Star Wars addition. This is possible as you would have the Backlot express area and everything backstage behind it as well as behind Star Tours all the way to the Premier theater for Star Wars expansion. This of course would require building the other rumored entrance by Victory way.Since I love the Muppets as well as the Osborne lights and prefer to add on to the park instead of continuing to remove attractions for future additions this would be my choice, you could have Star Wars and still keep the Muppets and the Osborne Lights in their place. If this is not the option they go with they would basically have to get rid of everything,Muppets,Mama Melrose,Pizza Planet and the Streets of America leaving a displaced Osborne Lights which would have to find a new home,at first temporary and then permanent. If this is what they do I wonder if they may consider building a street in the new Toy Story land to possibly have the Osborne lights, seems like it could be a good fit for a permanent home.A third option and one that wouldn't bother me as I rarely do the show anymore is to tear down the Indy show and go there for Star Wars,to me this doesn't make sense as it looks too small and there's been a rumor of an Indy ride going in to take it's place as well as knowing that the Premier theater space will be used in the addition. In the end I know nothing but these are the options I see from simply looking at a view of the park.

I made an imgur album with the current theories (many of whom posted here first).

A previous rumor thread said Indy was changing and moving. I think that is right and Star Wars will start closer to the lake. There is already a building permit issued for a theater near tot and rnr. I need to reread that one, it was really specific on what was moving where to get out of the way.

Like I mentioned in my post I like the last option of just going with new land and expanding the park,it's a very small park, when they build all these additions people are going to end up having to park at Epcot with how busy the park will be,keeping as many attractions open,(especially the the LMA and Indy shows) will prevent the lines for the new rides from being 3-4 hours long and eventually those shows will also need to be retired and give the park other areas to expand.

The theater going in between ToT and RnRc is a replacement for the Premier theater which is mostly used for special events, but it will not be a new home for Indy.

It was said somewhere that they recently renewed the Indiana Jones show contract so the show wouldn't be going anywhere for at least the next 5 years.

Don't know how true it is.

I just can't imagine Indy staying but that's me. Of course, I thought I saw that last of Captain EO so what do I know? I guess it just depends on their blueprint which none of us know at this time. They could always expand out from S Studio Drive.

How do we know this?

. . . . . . I think that is right and Star Wars will start closer to the lake. . . .
Think *in* the lake, as quite recent plans included filling in the lake to hold the front of the Star Wars area.

Doesn't surprise me. I also don't think indy is going to survive. It might get 5 more years but that kind of lines up with how long disney takes to build anything so half year to remove and rebuilt it in to the entrance to star wars doesn't seem out of the question.l

The only problem with the "build it all on new land" theory, is the fact that they've already closed so much. Why would they do that if they weren't going to need the space for these expansions? Also, what kind of site are people using for mapping out these areas?

I too see a 3 themed park.
Left side: Star Wars
Middle: Old Hollywood
Right side: Toy Story

So, I would fully expect Indiana Jones, Muppets, Streets of America, Pizza Planet, Mama Melrose and Light, Motor Action .. to be closed and that whole side of the park be Star Wars.

I would expect the "middle" of the park to remain "old Hollywood" theme .. including the GMR and the restaurants. I would think Echo Lake would remain too just because of how close it is to the old Hollywood restaurants and the Great Movie Ride. Not sure what they will do with the theaters where Frozen is right there (probably consumed by Star Wars as well)

I would guess that Pixar Place would just extend back into the old BackLot Tour and become Toy Story Land.
I'm not sure what they will do with the Animation Courtyard (maybe just more Toy Story area). I can't imagine the Star Wars Launch Bay to be a permanent thing.

It will be interesting to see what remains open during construction. If any more attractions have to close to open up space for construction, DHS really will be hurting for attractions .. It will be also interesting to see how they make the traffic flow .. it was always an ugly part to get around because of all the square studio buildings in it.

Agree. I think we've probably seen the last of Indy. I've got mixed feelings about that, but time marches on!

DHS has always been my least favorite park. I am excited about these changes, but now I'm trying to make sure when I go in December I see shows (IJ & LMA) that we haven't seen before in case they are removed!

There were a number of rumors that HS was getting a relocated entrance & possibly a parking garage instead of the current parking lots. So that could be important if true about where things will be located.

Remember that before they close (or move) the Indy show, they will need a new amphitheater to handle the various functions that make use of the current Indy theater. (The new multi-use facility on Sunset Blvd may or may not be able to fill such a role.)
Always keep in mind that the Special Events people at WDW hold a lot of power when it comes to facilities. That is one of the big reasons that Wonders of Life is able to sit empty for much of the year, and that Streets of America, or something akin to it, will be present somewhere in the park, even if it means making it part of the expansion on the other side of World Drive. (Management knows well how incredibly popular the Christmas lights are, and they aren't going to be a casualty of the new developments.)
