Hi all!

I haven't been to DHS since they started the Frozen sing along show. Is the show crazy crowded? Would it be a good use of a FP+ or is getting there early enough? We are planning to be in the park on a Sunday in mid-October.
Thanks! :)

Read post #1 and #2 for FP+ recommendations and timing advice.

I have been wondering the same thing, I want to see the show but would prefer to use my FP for the rides. Hoping just getting there early will be enough.

I have read the FP+ thread but didnt see anything specific about the sing a long.

all rides and shows are listed there i think frozen is in the middle so use it there if you really want too

We had one for the sing along and it really didn't do very much for us except guarantee us a seat (assuming they only allow a certain amount of standby guests based on how many FP are issued). Once you enter through the FP you are all held in the same holding area together. We actually made the mistake of going up to the front right of the area only to find out the only doors are on the left and the first door, down at the front of the holding area, only has access to a couple of rows. CM's were suggesting people go back up the ramp and enter through the doors behind them (unless of course you had to have the front row). We did not want to be near the front, would be happy with any seat, so we pretty much waited for everyone to enter then walked two doors back behind us to find a seat. I don't regret getting it but I don't know that I would bother to get one again if the opportunity arose.

Have a great trip!

There's really no priority access at the singalong anymore. In the old theater, there were a separate set of doors that opened first for FP+ holders. At the new theater, both the standby and FP+ queues feed directly into the same pre-show waiting area, so no priority for FP+ holders. It's not worth wasting a FP+ reservation on any longer.

I agree that its not worth a fast pass. There is a holding area that you need to stand and wait in like a lot of other Disney attractions (Muppets, Monsters Inc, etc.). Once you are let in the theatre, they don't monitor where you sit. The key is to be towards the front of the pack and know where you want to go when you get inside the theatre. I think the best seats are about 1/3 of the way back from the stage. The stage is really high, so don't sit too close.

This is based on my observation alone so I might be wrong but I think that the people who purchased a Frozen package get to enter first and are seated in an area in the center of the theater about 1/3 of the way back. Then the FP and stand by who have been all mingled together in the holding area are let in for the rest of the theater. If you are at the front of this area you are encouraged (told) to move all the way to the end of the rows. You could make an argument that the first FP people have the worst seats so I don't think a FP is worth it unless you are shut out. For what it is worth we sat at the end of the row and could see fine. We were wasting a FP (darn FP tiering) so we were not that excited about it.

We had FP but there was a group that entered at lower doors first and appeared to have been directed to sit in the center. The later people who entered were directed by CMs to go around and sit at the end of those rows.

The first three rows are reserved (first row for accessibility seating, two rows for package. The doors open to them maybe two minutes before the rest of the doors.

There's no need for a FP for the show. You can show up 10 min before showtime and get a seat.

30 minutes early seemed to be necessary a few weeks ago.... (I was too late one show)

My WDW "arrival rule" is that it's better to arrive far too early than just one minute too late.

If seeing a particular performance of anything at WDW is IMPORTANT to you, arrive early.
But, if seeing a given show is just of passing interest, arrive closer to showtime and you might get in.
Many guests do.

Very true.
I generally don't do a show if I really have to arrive 30+ minutes early, and generally don't have a problem seeing Fantasmic (late show), Lion King...
But with Frozen, I had to relent. Especially when a few BTG's can quickly fill in most of the remaining standby seats.

Crowds can differ the wait time. Last week when I saw it EasyWDW rated crowd level at 7. We showed up spur of the moment about 10 min before doors opened. A lot of people already there. Seems like most were walking down as close as they can go which left less people toward the top doors. We waited at the second to top door and sat right about the middle of the row.

A FP wouldn't hurt if you didn't have anything better to use it toward, but generally you should be able to make it in fairly easy with how big the theater is.
